Dorothy E. Conway, 92, of Attica died on April 15, 2014 surrounded by her loving family at the Wyoming County Skilled Nursing Facility.

Dot was born in Louisville, Kentucky on December 6, 1921 to the late Thomas and Margaret Kennedy.  She married the late B. Joseph Conway on April 14, 1945, and moved to Attica thereafter.   The distance between Attica and her “Kentucky home” never interfered with her close relationship with her family, including her five siblings; Margaret Hartell (deceased), Mary Sills (deceased), Thomas J. Kennedy (deceased), Rose Renn, and Julia Goss.

For Dot, family was a paramount.  She loved spending time with her children, Jeanne (Albert) Beck, Joan Puccio, James (Conni) Conway, Joseph Conway, grandchildren; Richard (Debra) Puccio, Patrick (Candice) Puccio, Jennifer Schwartzott (Marvin Muller), Ryan (Amber) Conway, Erin Conway, Meghan Conway,  and great-grandchildren; Allison, Joseph, Ashyln, Aubrey Puccio, Mary, Maxwell Muller, Braden , and Shaelyn Conway, and they loved spending time with her.

To know Dot, was to lover her.  She “never met a stranger,” and made a positive, wonderful impression on everyone she met.  Dot was also a life-long sports fan, and could confidently recite the New York Yankees line-up on any given day.

Mrs. Conway was a long standing member of St. Vincent’s Parish in Attica, and was very proud that she was able to live long enough to see all eight of her great-grandchildren baptized.  She was also very proud of her Irish heritage, and was known to speak out an Irish blessing at family gatherings.

In addition to her children, and great-great grandchildren, Dot will be forever missed by countless nieces and nephews from Massachusetts to Kentucky.

Friends and family may call from 2-4PM and 6-8PM on Easter Sunday at Marley Funeral Home in Attica.  The Funeral Service will be held at St. Joachim and Anne in Attica on Monday, April 21 at 10:30AM.  She will be laid to rest in St. Vincent's Cemetery in Attica.
