Anne C. Penepent

Anne C. Penepent, 77 of Batavia, passed away peacefully on Saturday September 20, 2014 surrounded by her family at Genesee County Nursing Home. She was born on July 20, 1937 in Batavia to the late Arthur (Amelia Soccio) Saraceni and step-mother the late Margherita Saraceni. She is preceded in death by a grandson Vincent Gallo, brothers Thomas, Fred, James “Jeep” Saraceni; sisters Mary Chilano, Beatrice Parnell, Elizabeth Pringle and Germaine Saraceni.

Anne spent endless hours crocheting, especially baby clothes and angels. She enjoyed going to the casino and playing bingo. Anne was well known by many for her cooking and baking. She was an exceptional wife and mother who was happiest cooking in her home surrounded by her entire family.

She is survived by her beloved husband Ronald D. Penepent of Batavia; daughters Darlene Gallo of Batavia; Sherry LaBorne of CA; sons Ronald “Tigar” (Patti) of TN; Charles “Chuck” of SC; Nicholas “Nick” (Barbie) Penepent of SC; James “Jimmy” (Shelly) Pringle of VA; grandchildren Nicole (fiancé Joe Dean) Gallo, Kelly Foley, Ashlee (Steven) Stutler, Anthony “AC” Penepent, Kyle LaBorne, Elizabeth (Justin Smith) Pringle, Jimmy Pringle, Melissa "Missy" (fiance Will Nusbaum) Pringle; great-grandchildren Shyanne and Steven Charles Stutler; brother Anthony “Red” (Marcy) Saraceni of Batavia; sisters Faye Coppini of Caledonia; Yolanda “Yola” (Harry) Bucceri of Oakfield; Roseanne (Donald) Showler of LeRoy; sister-in-law Josephine Saraceni of Batavia, Anne was very close to nephew Denny (Mary) Bucceri along with MANY special nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call on Tuesday September 23, 2014 from 5 to 9 PM at Gilmartin Funeral Home & Cremation Company, Inc. 329-333 West Main Street Batavia, New York 14020. A 9:30 AM Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday September 24, 2014 at Resurrection Parish 18 Ellicott St. Batavia, New York 14020.
