Angeleona "Angeline" Cintorino

Angeleona “Angeline” “Ange” Cintorino, 91, of Batavia died October 31, 2014 at the United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia. She was born Dec. 31, 1922 in Batavia, NY, daughter of the late Dominic and Carmela Suozzi of Potenza, Italy.  She was one of four sisters and three brothers who are all deceased.  Ange lived a life of devotion to her family, friends, and St. Anthony Church and Community Center.  Ange was an active member of the church choir, St. Anthony Home School Association, instrumental in the arrangement of many dances, decorating committees for which she had a great talent.  She was employed in the office of Doehler-Jarvis for many years.

Ange loved to please her family with holiday celebrations, delicious cooking, always remembering every birthday.  She had a real gift for making everyone who entered her home feel welcome.  Ange loved music, dancing, ice-skating, sewing, knitting, reading (once belonged to a book club), and going to lunch with friends. She and her late husband, Salvatore went to Dunkin Donuts almost daily.  Mom (Nana) also loved road trips and vacations to visit her children.  “Mom, you are in our hearts forever.  We love you.”

Angeline (Suozzi) Cintorino is survived by daughter, Maria Kinsella of Connecticut; two sons, Salvatore  (Margaret) of Vermont, and David (Nancy) of Virginia; five grandchildren, Julie and Kristine Kinsella; Jason (Jessica) Cintorino; Keaton and Lucas Cintorino; two great-grandchildren, Maya and Dominic Cintorino; along with Donald Suozzi, and many other nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call from 4-7 PM on Monday November 3, 2014 at Gilmartin Funeral Home.  Prayers will be recited at  9:30AM at the funeral home followed by a 10:00AM Mass of Christian Burial At Ascension Parish, 15 Sumner St., Batavia, NY  14020.  Interment will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Batavia.
