Edward S. Koziol

Edward S. Koziol, 74 of Basom, passed away peacefully on Sunday (November 2, 2014) at United Memorial Medical Center. 
 
He was born November 14, 1939 in Batavia, NY, son of the late Joseph and Stella Gomula Koziol.
 
Ed was an engineer for Strippit Manufacturing in Akron prior to his retirement. He was a dedicated member of St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish in E. Pembroke where he served as a Eucharistic Minister. Ed formerly served with the National Guard and was a member of the Polish Falcons and an avid golfer. He enjoyed the outdoors, farming and the mucklands of Elba. Ed will be remembered for being a wonderful father, grandfather, jokester, his meticulous ways, heart of gold and the fact that he always made time for his family. 
 
Survivors include his dear friend, Bettina Lesh of Batavia. Daughters, Lisa (David) Wozniak of Alexander and Kristine Koziol-Gallop of Batavia. Son, Ryan (Jill) Koziol of Rock Hill, SC. Grandchildren, Jenna, Jake and Becca Wozniak, Joshua and Mya Koziol.  Sisters, Theresa (Raymond) Seweryniak of E. Pembroke, Anne (James) Stevens of W. Seneca and Josephine (late Oguz) Sarac of Cheektowaga. Sister in-law, Suzanne Koziol of Batavia. Also survived by nieces, nephews and his fury friend, Buckwheat.
 
He was the brother of the late Joseph Koziol Sr.
 
Family and friends are cordially invited to share memories, condolences and thoughts on Wednesday (Nov. 5th) from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at the J. LEONARD MCANDREW FUNERAL HOME, LLC, 2 Bogue Ave., Batavia, where prayers will be recited Thursday at 9:15am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am at St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish (E. Pembroke Site – 8656 Church St.).  Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. 
 
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Genesee Cancer Assistance or All Babies Cherished.
