Richard J. Herold

Pavilion ~ Richard J. Herold, age 83, of Pavilion Center Road, passed away at home unexpectedly Monday evening (Nov. 3, 2014).

     Mr. Herold was born July 10, 1931 in Rochester, N.Y., a son of the late Oscar and Mary Bleier Herold.

    

He was a very loving and devoted family man and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone who needed his help.  He was also very proud of his U S Army service.  He was a long time dairy farmer and truck driver, and enjoyed gardening, playing cards and all sports.

     He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Joyce Phillips Herold; his children, Marie (Mike Stalica) Herold of Pavilion, Deborah Herold of Clifton Springs, Thomas Herold of LeRoy and Michael (Suzanne) Herold of Pavilion; grandchildren, Jennifer Ross, Shayne Herold, Rachael (Dan) Moore, Amanda (Kyle) Gorny, Travis (Ashley) Herold and Tyler Herold; great-grandchildren, Sydney, McKenna and Briea, along with many nieces, nephews and dear friends.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a daughter,  Nancy Ross and a great-granddaughter, Arianna Steen.

     Family and friends may call on Friday from 4 ~ 8 PM at the Falcone Family Funeral & Cremation Service Inc., 8700 Lake Road (Rt. 19), LeRoy.  His Rite of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 9:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Parish, St. Mary's Site, 11095 St. Mary's Street, Pavilion, N.Y.  Interment in Pavilion Cemetery will be at the convenience of the family.
