Mrs. Bernard worked for Dr. Rowbottom prior to her retirement. She was a Eucharistic Minister for Resurrection Parish, and taught RCIA class. Mary was a member of the Notre Dame Prayer Group and she worked with the outreach program at St. Joseph’s.
She is survived by her beloved husband LaVern “Barney” Bernard of Batavia; sons James (Cheri) Bernard of Topeka, KS, Joseph (Nancy) Bernard of Mesa, AZ, brothers John Martino of FL, Anthony (Sandy) Martino of Batavia, Thomas Martino of Rochester, grandchildren Katie, Dylan, Jake, Corey, Alexandra, and Christopher Bernard along with many nieces and nephews.

A 9:30 AM Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday December 2, 2014 at Resurrection Parish 18 Ellicott Street Batavia, New York 14020. She will be laid to rest in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Batavia.
