JALITUS, ANN0001.jpgAnn Pulvino Jalitus, 92, of Batavia, formerly of Akron, died Wednesday (December 8, 2010) at Genesee County Nursing Home.

She was born in Batavia on November 25, 1918, a daughter of the late Louis and Josephine Cascio Pulvino.

Her husband, Pius Jalitus died on May 2, 2002.

Mrs. Jalitus was a self employed hair dresser in Akron for many years until her retirement.  She was a member of  Assembly of God Church in Batavia.  Ann was an excellent cook and loved gardening and reading.

Surviving is a daughter and son in law, Mary Adamson and Brad Rykert of Corfu.  A grand daughter Kara Rykert of Corfu.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.

She was the sister of the late: Rose Pulvino, Angeline Ruffino, Jane Cataldo, Josephine Ferge, Frances Rizzo, Anna Cusimano and Fred Pulvino.

Visitation will be Saturday from 4 - 7 PM at the J. LEONRD MCANDREW FUNERAL HOME, 2 BOGUE AVE., BATAVIA,  where services will be Sunday at 2PM.

In lieu of flowers, memnorial contributions may be made to Assembly of God Church  or St. Stephens Table, both at 24 N. Spruce St., Batavia, NY 14020.

Burial will  be in St. Joseph Cemetery.

aqu1.jpgBridget M. Aquino 96, of Batavia, NY  died Wednesday December 8, 2010 at Genesee County Nursing Home in Batavia. She was born in Batavia November 5, 1914 to the late Frank  and Angeline (Gustaferro) Seppe. Mrs. Aquino was retired from GTE Sylvania where she worked for 25 years. She was a member of Resurrection Parish (St. Mary’s), an avid bingo player and she loved to travel. She is preceded in death by her husband Andrew A. Aquino Sr., her son Andrew A. Aquino Jr., brothers Louis Seppe, Carl Seppe, Philip Sepi, Dominic Sepi and Gabe Sepi. Two Sisters Rose Sepi, Josephine Battaglia, three granddaughters Bridget, Christine Aquino and Pam Korenak.
 
She is survived by her sons Frank (Carol) Aquino of Elba, Carl (Priscilla) Aquino, Charles (Rosemary) Aquino, Robert Aquino all of Batavia and William (Margaret) Aquino of Tonawanda, also a daughter Mary DiSalvo of Batavia. Brother Angelo (the late Olive) Seppe of Batavia survives along with 20 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, a couple of great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. 
 
Friends may call on Sunday December 12, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at the Gilmartin Funeral Home & Cremation Company Inc. 329-333 W Main St. Batavia, NY. Prayers will be recited at 9:30 AM on Monday at the Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Resurrection Parish (St. Mary’s), 18 Ellicott Street, Batavia, NY.

Batavia - Mrs. Beatrice E. Walsh, age 75, of Batavia, clerk at the former Lane Drugs Store and Alberty Drug Store, both in Batavia, died Tuesday, December 7, 2010at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.
Mrs. Walsh was born January 8, 1935 in Batavia, the daughter of the late Bernard E. and Alma E. Fisher Bateman.
A member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Batavia, Mrs. Walsh enjoyed dancing, baking, bowling, hosting family gatherings and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Norman G. Walsh; three sons, Carl (Janice) Kruger, Jr. of Indiana, Glen (Rebecca) Kruger of Batavia and Roger (Ellie Hays) Kruger of Texas; the children’s father, Carl Kruger, Sr. of Batavia; two step-sons, David (Dorothy) Walsh of Lake Park, Florida and Steven (Marie) Walsh of Batavia; a brother-in-law, Kenneth (late Dorothy) Walsh of Vermont, seventeen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her grandson, Glen W. Kruger and her brothers-in-law, Alfred Kruger, Harold (Grace) Kruger and Leland (Doris) Walsh.
Friends may call on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at the H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 403 East Main Street, Batavia, where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday.  Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Batavia. graz1.jpgGerald P. Grazioplene, 68 of Batavia. Died December 7, 2010 peacefully at his home. Born October 11, 1942 in Batavia, NY. He is son of the late Alfonzo Grazioplene and the late Jane Olcucki. Mr. Grazioplene worked as a Quality Control Engineer for 42 years at Graham Manufacturing in Batavia. He was a member of Ascension Parish – St. Anthony’s Church and was in a Tuesday night golf group. Former Little League and Minor League baseball coach. Mr. Grazioplene was the family Athletic Director and a super Grandpa. He is preceded in death by his father at age 5 and raised by his step-father the late Floyd VanBuskirk. Brother Robert Grazioplene. 
 
He is survived by his wife Jeanette (Speed) Grazioplene; sons Paul (Alicia Herdlein) Grazioplene; Philip (Erica) Grazioplene; brother Roger (Mickey) Grazioplene all of Batavia; sister Joyce (Joseph) Acitelli of Oakfield; sister-in-law Ann Grazioplene of Byron; 6 grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews.

JUDD, RAYMOND0001.jpgRaymond C. Judd, "Jumbo" 60, of Byron, died Saturday (December 4, 2010) at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester after a lengthy illness.

He was born in Batavia on November 23, 1950, a son of Raymond E. Judd of Corfu and the late Lucille Dittilo Judd.

Mr. Judd was a true muscle car admirer and loved repairing and restoring autos.  He was an avid NASCAR fan and enthusiast and was employed by the former George Smith Motors and LaWalls Collision of Batavia prior to his untimely retirement.

Surviving besides his father is a daughter, Dawn (William) Faulkner of Byron, son, Michael Judd of Byron and a grand daughter, Michala Ray Faulkner.  Three brothers: Daniel (Becky) Judd of Batavia, Timmy Judd of Corfu and David Judd of Elba.  Three sisters; Patty (Arthur) Smith of Corfu, Jeanine Gaddis of IL and Mellissa (Shawn) Wetmore of Batavia.  Nieces and nephews also survive.

Friends and family are invited to a memorial gathering from 5 - 8 PM Friday, December 10th at the Batavia County Club, 7909 Batavia Byron Rd., Batavia.

Beatrice May Richardson 82 of Batavia, NY died  December 6, 2010 at her home. She was born September 9, 1928  in  Batavia to the late Joseph and Clara (Allen) Lang. Mrs. Richardson was retired from Eastman Kodak in Rochester. She was a member of the Mogadore Chapel. She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Richardson Sr. in 1990, a brother Jerome (the late Nancy) Lang, and sisters Margery (the late Leo) Brumsted and Dorothy Jones. 
 
She is survived by her sons Raymond (Sheila) Richardson Jr. of Oakfield, George (Claudia) Richardson of Texas, Joseph (Barbara) Richardson of Darien, Thomas (Tracy) Richardson, Samuel Richardson and James Richardson all of Batavia;  daughters  Terry (Butch) Merritt of Batavia, Patricia (Paul) Bartnick of Byron and JoAnn (Randy) Stout of Washington. Her brothers Alfred (Deanna) Lang of Batavia, Joseph (the late Pamela) Lang of Batavia,  sisters Mary (the late Norman) Johnson of Batavia, Elizabeth (the late Walter) Kowalik of Elba, Harriett (James) Worthington, Joanne Lang and Sandra (Philip) Fraterrigo all of Batavia survive along with 24 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Patricia T. Gillam of Batavia died Monday December 6, 2010 at her home. She was born  November 4, 1937 in  Batavia, New York to the late Joseph  and Antoinette (Brzeczkowski)Oxencis.  Patricia was retired from Batavia Downs where she worked for 27 years. Prior to that she also worked for New York Telephone. She was a member of Resurrection Parish (St. Mary’s), a former CCD teacher and a past member of the Polish Falcons. She loved to garden, shop for antiques and was an avid painter. She was preceded in death by her daughter Ann Marie Gillam Twichell in 1978. 
 
She is survived by her husband William H. Gillam Jr., of Batavia;  sons William J. (Doris) Gillam of Michigan, James (Annette) Gillam of Batavia and Keith A. Gillam of East Bethany. Brothers Joseph (Mary) Oxencis of Illinois, Raymond (Polly) Oxencis of Batavia, sisters Alice (David) McCullough, Eleanor (Bill) Bishop and Joan (Brian) McCabe all of Batavia survive along with 5 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Batavia - Mrs. Juanita Peck Hyde, 71, of Batavia, a secretary at Jackson School in Batavia, until her retirement in 1999, died Thursday, December 2, 2010at her residence, in Batavia.

Mrs. Hyde was born May 12, 1939 in Batavia, the daughter of the late Tyler and Helen (Little) Peck.
 
She was a lifetime member of the Batavia First United Methodist Church. She formerly worked at John Kennedy School, Genesee County Health Department, Kozak and J.C. Penny.   She enjoyed reading and was described as a very loving person; friendly, engaging and loved children. She was an avid conversationalist.
 
She is survived by her husband, Ralph G. Hyde, whom she married February 14, 1959; 2 sons, Kevin (Sandra) Hyde of Beaver Creek, Ohio and Steven (JoAnn) Hyde of Batavia; a grandson, Robert Hyde of Batavia and a granddaughter, Carissa Hyde of Batavia. 

Friends may call on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 403 E. Main St., Batavia. Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday at First United Methodist Church, 8221 Lewiston Rd., Batavia. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Crossroads House, P.O. Oakfield - Mr. George A. Sanders, 89, of Oakfield, died Tuesday, (November 30, 2010)at the Buffalo V.A. Medical Center.
Mr. Sanders was born July 3, 1921 in Oramel, New York, a son of the late George and Ina (Clark) Sanders.
A veteran, he served with the United States Army and was the owner of the Sanders Sawmill in Oakfield. Mr. Sanders enjoyed hunting, fishing and loved his dog, Patty. He was a member of the NRA, American Legion in Alabama, Oakfield Historical Society and the Oakfield Fire Department. Mr. Sanders was also a member and past president of the Oakfield Rod and Gun Club and was a past zoning officer for the Town of Oakfield. 
Survivors include his companion of 20 years, Arlene Steele of Oakfield and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
His wife, Laura Sanders passed away in 1986.  Mr. Sanders is also predeceased by his brother and sisters.
 
Calling hours are Sunday from 1:00 to 4:00 at the Burdett & Sanford Funeral Home, 11 Maple Avenue, Oakfield. Services will be at 11:00 Monday at the Oakfield United Methodist Church, 2 South Main Street, Oakfield. Burial will be in Cary Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Oakfield United Methodist Church, 2 South Main Street, Oakfield, N.Y. 14125 or Buffalo VA Medical Center, attn: Hospice Department, 3495 Bailey Avenue, Buffalo, N.Y. 14215.  Condolences may be made at www.burdettandsanford.com.

Byron - Mrs. Doris E. Fuller, 86, a retired employee of GTE Sylvania, died Monday, (November 29, 2010) at United Memorial Medical Center.

Mrs. Fuller was born April 13, 1924 in Batavia, a daughter of the late Paul and Emily Waldron Nicholson.

She was a member of Byron Presbyterian Church and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Botts-Fiorito American Legion Post in LeRoy.

Survivors include two sons, Leonard (Patricia) A. Fuller of Rochester and Leland (Suzanne) Fuller, Jr. of Delaware and a sister, Gary (Linda) Nicholson of Penfield. Also surviving are 4 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

She was the wife of the late Leland Fuller, Sr. who died in 1977. Mrs. Fuller was the sister and sister-in-law of the late Paul (Ruth) Nicholson and Marion (Monroe) Ratliff. 

Friends may call on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Bohm-Calarco-Smith Funeral Home, 308 E. Main St.. Services with Pastor James Renfrew officiating, will be at 10:00 am, Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Morganville Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family to be distributed to various charities.
