Nancy J. Kriger Stack

Nancy passed away peacefully in her mother’s arms on Wednesday morning, February 18, 2015 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY into the arms of Jesus in Heaven. She was born on June 1, 1976 in Batavia, NY to the late Richard L. Kriger, who passed away March 17, 2010, and Shirley L. (Cramer) Kriger of Attica. Nancy was in her early 30’s when she was diagnosed with Gordon Holmes disease at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.

Nancy graduated from Alexander Central School, Genesee Community College, and SUNY Brockport, with an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice. Among other jobs, she was a probation officer for the Genesee County Probation Department. Nancy liked to line dance and listen to country music. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Attica.

She is survived by her brother, Richard L. Kriger, Jr., of Attica; her sister, Shelly L. (Sean) Sweeney of Orlando, FL; nephews, Mark J. (Hannah) Ostertag, Jr. of Bergen; Sean M. Sweeney, Jr. of Orlando, FL; grandnephew Micah Ostertag of Bergen; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

There will be no prior calling hours. A Celebration of Nancy’s Life will be held in the Spring. She will be laid to rest in Forest Hill Cemetery, Attica.
