Thomas J. Pierson

Thomas J. Pierson, age 57, of Perry died on Thursday February 19, 2015 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. He was born in Warsaw, New York on May 19, 1957 a son of the late Gordon J. Pierson and Gladys (Brown) Pierson of Perry. He is preceded in death by his father Gordon and a brother James.

Tom attended Perry High School. He first started out his working career at the family farm, later worked for Koch Trucking in Leicester, then M&T Trucking in Pavilion. Tom eventually became a self employed truck driver owning TJP Trucking Inc., after retiring from truck driving he went to work for the Town of Perry where he was the sexton of Glenwood Cemetery. Mr. Pierson was a member of the Mt. Morris Congregation of the Jehovah's Witnesses. He enjoyed gardening, wildlife, spending time out in the nature, and hunting with his sons. Many will remember Tom on how he liked to joke with people.

He is survived by his wife: Lucretia “Lucy” (Piraino) Pierson who he married on August 26, 1978, his mother Gladys Pierson of Perry; 2 sons Shane (Jennifer) Riolo of Rome, Joshua (Melissa) Pierson of Wyoming;  sister Jeanine Pierson of Warsaw; brother: Steven (Terry) Pierson of Perry;2 grandchildren Noah and Lily Riolo along with many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8pm on Friday February 27th at the Eaton-Watson Funeral Home, LLC. 98 North Main Street Perry, New York 14530. A Memorial service will be held on Saturday February 28th at 2:00pm at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses 1721 Rt. 20A in Leicester, New York 14481.
