Mark D. Vogel, 53, of Mt. Morris passed away on Monday March 2, 2015 at his residence. He was born March 6, 1961 in Chicago to Rev. Donald Vogel of Mt. Morris and the late Jean (Alfvin) Vogel.

Marks formal education took place in Chicago Schools. He enlisted in the United States Army, and his training as an Infantry Rifleman took place at Ft. Benning, GA. Mark served 2 tours of Duty in Germany and was appointed to attend the French Army Commando School. He interviewed and photographed with the Army Stars and Stripes Europe Addition. Mark previously worked for Tropicana Oil in Chicago, Archway Cookie Company and Livingston County Nursing. He was a member of the Perry Vets Club and the American Legion 350 McKelton Post in Perry. Mark was an accomplished pianist and loved music especially heavy metal. He was an avid Cubs, Bears and Raiders fan. Chicago will always be his home. “Up The Irons.”

Mark is survived by his son Jay Vogel of Chicago; daughters Ashley (Fiancé Derek Baker) Vogel of Perry, Erin (Fabian) Rodriguez of Chicago and brother John (Brenda) Vogel along with 4 grandchildren.

Friends are invited to call on Saturday March 7, 2015 from 4 PM- 7 PM at Eaton-Watson Funeral Home, LLC 98 North Main Street Perry, New York 14530. A Funeral Service will immediately follow at the funeral home.
