Theresa “Tess” Mangee

Batavia – Theresa “Tess” Mangee, 93, of Batavia, passed away Wednesday, (May 20, 2015) at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

 Mrs. Mangee was born September 18, 1921 in Rochester, a daughter of the late Joseph and Frances (Viavattene) DiGrazio.

Tess was a member of St. Kateri Parish in Rochester and was a retiree of Sibley, Lindsay & Curr, Co.  Her greatest pleasure was being with her family.

She is the wife of the late Carl Mangee who passed away in 2001.

Theresa is survived by her sons, Damien (Linda) Mangee of Batavia, and Carl P. Mangee of FL; grandchildren, Sheila (Mike M.) Anderson of OH, Ed (Janien K.) Anderson of Stafford, Jennifer (Scott W.) Anderson of Batavia, and Nicholas (Loren) Mangee of Webster; great-grandchildren, Emma, Felicity, Brandon, Lexi, Caitlyn, and Kyle; a brother, William (Betty) DiGrazio; a sister, Frances Terranova; Sister-in-law, Frances DiGrazio; Brother-in-law, Al Genovese of Rochester.  Several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends also survive.

Tess is preceded in death by a brother, Frederick DiGrazio; a brother-in-law, John Terranova, and a sister-in-law, Josephine Genovese.

Friends may call on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 403 East Main St., Batavia.  Tess’ Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, (May 27, 2015) at St. Kateri Parish - St. Cecilia Worship Site, 2732 Culver Road, Rochester.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Genesee Cancer Assistance, Inc., 16 Bank Street, Batavia, NY 14020.  Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Rochester.  Please leave a condolence, share a story or light a candle at www.bataviafuneralhomes.com.
