George M. Young

East Bethany - George M. Young, 57, of East Bethany, an employee at Pudgie’s Lawn & Garden in Batavia, died Thursday, December 7, 2017 at Strong Memorial Hospital, in Rochester.

Mr. Young was born September 21, 1960 in Buffalo, a son of the late Carlton and Vivian (Burch) Young.

He attended the Mogadore Chapel, was an avid hunter and fisherman and was known as "Grumpy" by his McDonald's friends.

Survivors include his daughter, April (John Oliver) Young of Holley; his companion, Linda Kempf of East Bethany; 3 grandchildren,  Josiah Oliver, Kayla Price and Kristin Price; 5 siblings, Jim Young of Oakfield, Dorothy (Jim) Farewell of Lockport, Susan (Jim) Wines, William Young and Phyllis Ann Young all of VA; a sister-in-law, Joanie Young of VA; several nieces and nephews. 

He was the brother of the late Carl "Fuzzy" Young and Charlie Young

Friends may call on Friday, December 15, 2017, from 12 to 2 p.m. at Bohm-Calarco-Smith Funeral Home, 308 E. Main Street, Batavia, where services will follow at 2 p.m.  Burial will be in St. Cecelia’s Cemetery in Oakfield.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
