RICHARD H. COMPTON ~ Corfu
Age 67, peacefully on Sunday morning January 28, 2018 at Premier Genesee Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation. He was born September 21, 1950 in Batavia, NY a son of the late Cecil and Alice (Ross) Compton.
Mr. Compton worked 9 years at Continental Can Co. and retired after many years as a truck driver for Tops Supermarkets. He served in the Army National Guard from 1969-1975 and was a faithful member of St. Maximillian Kolbe Parish.
Surviving are his children, Michael Compton of Corfu, Mark (Narvada) Compton of Batavia, Donald Compton of Batavia and Ann Marie (Joe) Bauer of LA; siblings, James (Sandra) Compton of E. Bethany, Philip (Grace) Compton of Varysburg and Carol (Wayne) Speed of Oakfield along with 6 grandchildren and several nieces & nephews.
The Compton family will be present from 3-7pm on Friday February 2, 2018 at the MICHAEL S. TOMASZEWKI FUNERAL & CREMATION CHAPEL, LLC 4120 West Main Street Road Batavia, New York 14020. Please join Richard's family at 10am Saturday February 3 to Celebrate his Mass of Christian Burial at St. Maximillian Kolbe Parish (East Pembroke Site), memorials in his memory are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice and he will be laid to rest in Hillside Cemetery.
