Age 66, of Batavia, Owner/Operator along with his wife and son of Settler's Family Restaurant and Billy Goat Tavern died suddenly Friday morning May 11, 2018. He was born June 30, 1951 in Florina, Greece a son of the late Ioannis and Polyxeni (Votsis) Spyropoulos, also preceded in death by sisters, Olga (John) Tavelaris and Maria Dedes.

Steve arrived in the United States in 1974, returned to Greece in 1975 when he married and in 1985 purchased the former Red Barn on West Main Street and opened Settler's Family Restaurant which still operates today along with the Billy Goat Tavern located next door. He has enjoyed over 30 years of loyal customers who he frequently enjoyed talking politics and history.
