  Elsie Annunziata, 84 of Lancaster, NY passed away on June 18, 2018 at Buffalo General Hospital after an extended illness. She was born June 1, 1934 in Batavia to the late Chester and Ernestine (Schramm) Wiedrich. She was preceded in death by her husband Anthony Annunziata; Sister Shirley Brumber, brothers, Robert Wiedrich, Gerald Wiedrich, and Donald Wiedrich.

Elsie attended Oakfield-Alabama High School. She worked for the Genesee County Health Department as an aide prior to retiring. Elsie was a loving mother and Grandmother who enjoyed Singing, Big Band Music, the annual Wiedrich reunions and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by daughters; Tina Hammerling, Regina Strobele, Rose Rowcliffe and Ann Annunziata-Marin; sons-in-law James Hammerling, Jonathan Strobele, and Eric Marin.  She has 13 granddaughters; Arreal Hammerling, Zophia Hammerling, Athena Hammerling, Jami Hammerling, Lorelei Strobele, Briana Strobele, Rebecca Strobele, Julia Strobele, Emily Strobele, Jacki Rowcliffe, Isabella Marin, Aaliyah Marin and Gianna Marin; 2 grandsons Jensen Strobele and Anthony Rowcliffe.  She is also survived by a sister; Ruth Defazio, along with many loving nieces and nephews. 

Family and friends are invited to call on Friday June 22, 2018 from 4:00-7:00PM at Gilmartin Funeral Home & Cremation Company, Inc. 329-333 West Main Street Batavia, New York 14020. A 9:30AM Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday June 23rd at Resurrection Parish 18 Ellicott St. She will be laid to rest in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
