Eleanor M. Rosemark

East Bethany - Eleanor M. Rosemark, 93, of East Bethany, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at her daughter’s home in Corfu.

Eleanor was born December 22, 1924 in Batavia, a daughter of the late Merton and Marie (Burt) Putnam.

Eleanor was a member of the First Baptist Church of Batavia since 1942.  She worked at the former C.L. Carr in Batavia, retiring in 1993. 

Survivors include one son, Alfred (Sue) Rosemark of Elba; two daughters, Ann (Joe) Tiede of Corfu and Reneé (Brian) Burns of East Pembroke; grandchildren, August Rosemark, Gretchen (Mario) Rosales,  Tully (Alicia) Rosemark,  Casey (Nicole) Rosemark,  Maxwell (Jen) Falkowski, Carli (Ken) Wright, Amanda (Joshua) Swimline, William (Emily) Burns,  Ethan Burns, Patrick Burns and Christian Burns; a sister,  Doris Frances Johnson of Avon; a brother-in-law, James Smithgall of Caledonia; a sister-in-law, Marie Manley of Caledonia; fifteen great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Eleanor is predeceased by her husband, Alfred Rosemark, a son, William Rosemark, a sister, Lucille Smithgall, a brother, Earl Putnam and a brother-in-law, Kenneth Johnson.  

Calling hours are Monday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 403 East Main St., Batavia, where services will be at 1:00 p.m. also on Monday.  Eleanor will be laid to rest in East Bethany Cemetery, East Bethany.
