Peggy E. Stamp

Peggy E. Stamp, 90, of Alexander, passed away on Friday, January 25, 2019, at her daughter's home in Henrietta under the care of her family and hospice.

Peggy was born June 9, 1928, in Buffalo, a daughter of the late Albert and Irene (O'Neil) Hughes.

Peggy was a head teller for Marine Midland Bank in Attica from 1968 to 1990 and was a hostess at Bob Evans in Batavia from 1995 to 2016. She was a member of the New York State Assessors' Association and sang with the Sweet Adelines.

Survivors include her daughter, Mary (Don Cretelle) Stamp of Henrietta; her brother, Al (Sue) Hughes of Leesburg, FL; her sister, Jerry (late Michael) Palumbo of Corfu and several nieces and nephews. 

Peggy is the wife of the late Adelbert A. Stamp. 

Calling hours are Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 403 East Main Street, Batavia, where services will be held at 4:00, also on Friday.  Peggy will be laid to rest in West Bethany Cemetery.
