Dorothy M. Dilcher

Bergen - Dorothy M. Dilcher, 100, of Bergen, passed away on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at United Memorial Medical Center.

Dorothy was born August 21, 1918, in Rochester, a daughter of the late Otto and Louise (Wahl) Bobzin.

After her retirement from Taylor Instrument in Rochester, where she made blood pressure bands, Dorothy learned how to quilt and volunteered at the Senior Center in Batavia for over 20 years, where she was a member of the knitting and crocheting club.  She also belonged to the Batavia Quilters. 

Survivors include her sons, Roger (Sharon) Dilcher of Bergen and Charles (Carol) Dilcher of Oakfield; a brother, Ralph (late Phyllis) Bobzin of Canandaigua; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Dorothy is the wife of the late Frederick Dilcher, mother of the late Judith Irwin and sister of the late Beatrice Parmelee, Della Thomas, Ruth Casseri, Edward Bobzin, Robert Bobzin, Ronald Bobzin and Richard Bobzin.

Calling hours are from 11:00 - 1:00 on Thursday at the H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 51 South Lake Avenue in Bergen, where services will be held at 1:00 also on Thursday.  Dorothy will be laid to rest in Mt. Rest Cemetery, Bergen.
