Leon “Butch” Konieczny, 69 of Pavilion, passed away peacefully on Sunday (October 13, 2019) at Strong Memorial Hospital.

He was born June 7, 1950 in Batavia, the son of the late Aloysius and Marietta Bailey Konieczny.

Butch had worked as a Maintenance Supervisor for the Batavia Nursing Home.  He was an avid photographer, astronomer, model train enthusiast, and was a member of the Genesee Society of Model Engineers. Leon also enjoyed camping.

He was predeceased by a brother, George Konieczny.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Deborah A. (Stell) Konieczny of Pavilion, Sisters, Kristen Palmer of York, NY and Lynette Tower of Batavia. Brothers, David Pixley of York, NY, John (Debbie) Konieczny of Batavia and Paul Konieczny of Batavia. Sister in-law, Luann Konieczny of Batavia. Also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
