Veronica G. Piraino

LeRoy ~ Veronica G. Piraino, age 92, passed away peacefully on Monday morning (January 27, 2020) at the LeRoy Village Green Nursing Home.

    

She was born May 28, 1927 in Mt. Morris, N.Y., a daughter of the late Dominic and Rosina DeMarco Trubia.

     Family meant everything to her.  She loved time spent with them where she was able to cook and bake for everyone.  She just cherished her granddaughters and all her great-grandchildren.  She was active in her church, where she participated in the choir and also did volunteer work throughout her community.

     She is survived by her sons, Peter (Sue) Piraino of Rochester and David (Debbie) Piraino of Rochester; daughter-in-law, Michele Piraino of Rochester; grandchildren, Jennifer (Kevin), Christine (Brian), Carolyn (Jim), Monica (Dan), Amy (Nicholas) and Amanda (Curtis); 12 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Lucretia Trubia Zamejc, her dearest friend, Vicki Paladino,  along with many nieces, nephews and friends.

     In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband of 71 years, John B. Piraino, son, John Piraino Jr. and granddaughter, Kimberly Piraino-Miller.

     Veronica's family would like to express their sincere appreciation to everyone at the LeRoy Village Green Nursing Home for the care and compassion they provided to both their mom and their dad.

     Family and friends may call on Friday from 9:30 ~ 10:30 A.M. at the Falcone Family Funeral & Cremation Service Inc., 8700 Lake Road (Rt. 19), LeRoy.  Her Rite of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 11:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Mercy Parish, St. Peter's Church, 44 Lake St., LeRoy.  Interment in White Haven Memorial Park will immediately follow.

     In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the LeRoy Village Green Sunshine Fund, 10 Munson St., LeRoy, NY 14482
