Batavia - Amy L. Huntzinger (Netter), 62, of Batavia, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 2, 2020.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John L. and Jamie R. Netter and her sister, Kathy Berra.

She is survived by her husband John Huntzinger, sons, Steven (Nicole) Huntzinger of Rome, New York and Robert (Melissa) Huntzinger of LeRoy New York; three grandchildren, Abraham and Grace Huntzinger and Josephine Huntzinger. She is also survived by her siblings, George (Cheryl) Netter, John (late Nadine) Netter, Sharon Kinney, Ginny Marble, Lorrie (Timothy) Storrs, Susan Ausman and as well as eleven nieces and nephews.

Amy graduated from Pembroke Central School and attended Genesee Community College. She volunteered at the Corfu Fire Department and was the first female firefighter in Genesee County. Additionally, she worked at Genesee Memorial Hospital for 17 years, beginning as a nurse's aide and subsequently becoming an EMT in the emergency room. She began working at H&R Block as a Tax Specialist and retired after 32 years. Amy enjoyed scrapbooking and spending time with her grandchildren. The kids were the loves of her life.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 8th from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM at the H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 403 East Main Street, Batavia. Her Celebration of Life will immediately follow visitation. A luncheon will immediately follow at The Oasis Restaurant located at the Quality Inn, 8250 Park Road, Batavia. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Amy's memory may be made to Lupus Foundation of America, 2121 K Street NW, Suite 200, Washington, DC 20037.
