Dayle G. Chapman

Byron - Dayle G. Chapman, 77, of Byron, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2020, at Roswell Park Cancer Institute.

Dayle was born October 25, 1942, in Niagara Falls, NY, a son of the late Robert and Millicent (Anderson) Chapman.

A member of the Batavia First United Methodist Church and the Byron Kiwanis Club, Dayle was a floor inspector for General Motors in Lockport.  A veteran, he served with the United States Navy.  Dayle will be remembered for his exceptional woodworking skills, making people laugh and his beautiful sense of humor.

Survivors include his wife Johanna (Vargo) Chapman of Byron; children, Tammy Roviso, Sheila (Todd) Galen, Lora (Jeff Blakely) Green, Scott M. Nowak, Darla D. (Dan) Bellar, Jay (Tammy) Chapman and Michael J. Nowak; brothers, Bob (Susie) Chapman, Jack Chapman and Jerry (Emma) Chapman; a sister, Joyce Lynn Chapman, 18 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date at the Batavia First United Methodist Church.
