Donald Lewis "Corky" Campbell Jr

Donald Lewis “Corky” Campbell Jr, 79 of Elba passed away peacefully on August 2, 2020 at home surrounded by family. Don was born February 7, 1941 in Ripley, NY; to the late Donald Campbell Sr. and Hattie P. (Kessler) Rist. He is preceded in death by his sister Mary Ellen Jean Fuller and step-daughter Diane (Douglas) Ridder.  

Don worked and retired from Genesee County Highway Department after 40 years as a heavy equipment operator. Don was known for his kindness, he was always willing to help anyone, especially with mechanic work. He loved spending time at Jamboree’s dancing with his wife of 20 years Pearl May Campbell. Don enjoyed playing guitar, piano and harmonica.   

Don is survived by his beloved wife Pearl May Campbell; daughters Laurie Clarke, Bernadette (Joe) Barnes, Angela (Gerard) Magras, step-children Charlene (Edward) Shultz, John, Tony Caccamise, son-in-law Roy Clarke; sister Patricia (Al) Patterson, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nepehws, his beloved dog Kara, and longtime friend Richard Running Water.  

Friends are invited to call on Wednesday, August 5, 2020 from 4 to 7 PM at Gilmartin Funeral Home & Cremation Company, Inc. 329-333 West Main Street, Batavia, New York 14020. A private Funeral Service will follow for family only. A 12:00 Noon Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2020 at Maple Lawn Cemetery, Elba.
