  Richard A. Macklem, 63, of Batavia passed away peacefully on Friday August 21, 2020 at Suzanne’s Comfort Care Home in Perry. He was born on July 29, 1957 in Buffalo to the late Robert W.D. and Marion (Dodd) Macklem. In addition to his parents, Richard is predeceased by his son in law; Isaac M. Styer “Ike”.

Rick was a loving father and grandfather. He always made family his first priority and he enjoyed spending quality time with them. His favorite hobby was restoring classic cars. He enjoyed playing chess with his kids and euchre with his friends at work. He had a great sense of humor and a kind heart. He was a hard and dedicated worker his whole life. He was a proud painter and rolls operator at Graham Corporation for the past 29 years. 

He is survived by his children; Christina Macklem of N. Chili, Jennifer Styer of Batavia, Robert Macklem of Attica and Joshua (Christy Chamberlain) Macklem of Batavia; siblings Brian Macklem of Hilton, Vincent Macklem of TX., Denise Macklem of OK., and Robert Macklem of Batavia; 4 beloved grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews.

There will be no prior calling hours and Services will be private for the family. Rick will be laid to rest in Grandview Cemetery in Batavia.
