James R. Fargo

Batavia - James  R.  Fargo, 68 of Batavia passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, (October 6, 2020) at United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia.

Mr. Fargo was born September 12, 1952 in Batavia,  a son of Mary (Grace) Fargo of Pembroke and the late Warren Fargo.

James served his country honorably with the Air Force and enjoyed building models and collecting sports memorabilia.  He was an avid bowler, Buffalo Bills and Sabres fan.  Mr. Fargo and his wife, Amy also enjoyed traveling.  

He is the husband of Amy (Wolfe) Buck Fargo of Batavia.

Surviving along with his wife and mother are his children, Jason (Jennifer) Buck and Janice (Christopher) Hare both of Batavia; grandchildren, Amanda (Ifran) Figueroa of Virginia, Christopher (Paige) Hare of North Carolina, Matthew Hare, Brandon Buck, Camryn Buck, and Liam Hare all of Batavia; a great-grandson, Mateo Figueroa; a brother-in-law, Bob Clement of Stafford.  Several nieces also survive.

Preceded in death by his sister, Karen Clement.

Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, October 14, 2020  from 4:00 pm  to 7:00 pm  at H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 403 E. Main St. in Batavia.  James' Funeral Service will be held privately for his family.  Burial will be in the future Western New York Veteran's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic, the funeral home will be restricted to 33% occupancy.  Face coverings and social distancing will be required.  We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
