Grace was born in Bradford, PA. a daughter of the late Grant and Elizabeth Beardsley Webster. Grace worked for the former Perry Knitting Mill, Mallory Timers in Warsaw and retired from Eastside Nursing Home in Warsaw at the age of 79 where she worked as a dietary aide. She enjoyed cooking, making fudge, shopping, going to yard sales and enjoyed spending time with her family. She is preceded in death by her first husband Floyd Bogardus; second husband John Goldfuss; son Thomas Bogardus; daughter Sandra B. Safford; sisters Doris Kish, Luella Troutman, Geraldine Perry and Dorthea Petry.

She is survived by 3 daughters: Cindy (David) Mateer of Warsaw, Pam (Larry) Eastman of Perry, and Darla Goldfuss of Advance, NC, 6 grandchildren: Keith Safford, Kenny (Lisa) Safford, Joey (Stella) Safford, Kristie (Bob) Ball, Matthew (Liz) Mateer and Elizabeth (Darren) Fox, 4 great grandchildren: Craig, Michael, and Ashlee Safford and Evelyn Mateer along with many nieces and nephews.

Age 80, of Batavia, died peacefully Monday morning September 24, 2012 at LeRoy Village Green. He was born August 4, 1932 in Batavia, a son of the late Chester & Cecilia (Pastecki) Mruczek and also preceded in death by his wife Mary Jane (Grasso) Mruczek in 1998.

Chester was a longtime member of Resurrection Parish and served in the Merchant Marine. He worked at the former GTE Sylvania, Terry Hills and was the owner/operator of Chet's Janitorial and Angelina's Pizzeria. He most enjoyed his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, time spent with his family, vacations and being at his cottage at the lake.

He is survived by his loving children, Steven Mruczek of Canandaigua, Richard (Carolyn) Mruczek of Bennington, Robert (Lori) Mruczek, Deborah Mruczek all of Batavia and Angela (Frank) Ferri of Medina; brother, Fran (Frannie DiFlippo); sisters, Janet and Alice Mruczek all of Batavia; sisters-in-law, Sister Virginia Marie Grasso of Buffalo, Louise Capuano, Betty Grasso both of Batavia, Nellie Grasso of Florida; brother-in-law, Joseph (Betty) Grasso of Batavia; 11 grandchildren, Tammy (Dan) Rykert, Kimberly (Gene) Kulp, Lisa (Rich) Biegasiewicz, Gabriella (Joe Pawlak) Ferri, Melissa & Chad Mruczek, Erica (Phil) Grazioplene, Brian (Erika) Mruczek, Nick (Danielle) Mruczek, Jonathan Mruczek and Curtis Gallagher; 11 great-grandchildren, Courtney & Zachary Biegasiewicz, Dylan Rykert, Vincent, Gina & Miranda Grazioplene, Giana, Lokada, Hunter, Dominic & Miah Mruczek along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Age 60, of Batavia, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday September 22, 2012 surrounded by his family. He was born April 15, 1952 in Batavia, NY, a son of Andrew & Irene (Peterson) Staebell of Pembroke.

Marty was employed by Graham Manufacturing for 33 years. He was also a master woodworker and electrician. He enjoyed fishing, kayaking, white-water rafting and building his cabin at, "The Pond."

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years Patti (Kohorst) Staebell of Batavia; daughters, Sharon (Chris) Pawlak, Deanna (Nathan) Korzelius; and son, Brian Staebell; grandchildren, Corinne and Hadley Korzelius; sister, Pat (Wirt) Fuller; brothers, Mike (Harriet) Staebell and Thomas Staebell; brothers-in-law, Mark Horowitz & Thomas (Patty) Kohorst; sisters-in-law, Donna (James) Gangloff, Kathie (Tony) Waclawski & Suzanne (Danny) Cain along with several nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Barbara J. Knowles, 57 of Perry died September 17, 2012 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. She was born November 6, 1954 in Warsaw to the late Samuel Wesley Gill and Harriett Ann (Barber) Gill of Perry. Barb was a resident of Perry, NY her whole life.  While attending High School there she fell in love with Randy Knowles.  They were married for 41 wonderful years.  She was always talking about how proud she was of her kids and grandkids.  Barb was seldom seen without a big smile on her face.  She easily made friends with anyone and everyone, all of which she considered family.  She made a profound impact on everyone she came in contact with and will be greatly missed by many.  Barb loved family vacations, camping, and was an avid reader.  She was a very selfless person who always volunteered.  Her ultimate goal was to see the joy she brought to others. She is preceded in death by a brother John “Jack” Gill.

Barb is survived by her beloved husband Randy L. Knowles Sr. of Perry; son Randy L. (Ruth) Knowles Jr. of Euless, TX; daughter Bethany A. (Thomas) McIntyre II of Perry; grandchildren Randy L. Knowles III, Lauren Knowles, Ashley and Bryce McIntyre; a brother James (Barbara) Gill of Elba; sister-in-law Cheryl (Brian) Bentley of Perry; along with several nieces and nephews.

Michael John Wandryk, 96, of Batavia died Monday evening (September 17, 2012) at the New York State Veterans Home in Batavia.

He was born in Batavia on December 17, 1915, a son of the late John and Sophie Zimnal Wandryk.

Mr. Wandryk was the owner of the former Wandryk’s Superette in Batavia prior to his retirement.  He served with the U.S. Army during WWII in Central Europe, Rhineland, Sicily, southern France and Tunisia.  He achieved the rank of Corporal and was the recipient of the American Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal and the European African Middle Eastern Bronze Medal.

He was a member of Ascension Parish, charter member of the Ascension Parish Holy Name Society, Polish Falcons of America and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Mr. Wandryk was the husband of the late Christine Maliszewski Wandryk who died on June 14, 2001 and father of the late Michael Paul Wandryk who died on December 25, 2008. 

Survivors include two sons and daughters in-law, John (Lynne) Wandryk of Dallas, TX and Kevin (Julia Caulfield) Wandryk of Los Altos, CA.  Two granddaughters, Lauren and Kristen Wandryk. Brother, Frank (Carol) Wandryk of Batavia. Sisters, Antoinette Corbelli of Amherst, Anne O’Grady of Syracuse, Jane “Jennie” Crowe of Amherst and Constance (Jerry) McGuire of Fairport.

He was the brother of the late Onofre “Norf” Wandryk, Caroline and Rose Wandryk, Veronica Bezon and Sophie Trybushyn.

Friends of the family are cordially invited to share their thoughts, condolences and fond memories with the family on Thursday from 4-7pm at the J. LEONARD MCANDREW FUNERAL HOME, LLC, 2 Bogue Ave., Batavia.  Prayers will be recited Friday 9:30am at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am at Ascension Parish (Sacred Heart Site).  Entombment with full military honors will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.

The Ascension Parish Holy Name Society will recite the rosary at 5:45pm Thursday during the visitation at the funeral home.

Noreen Marie Knapp, 66 of Batavia  died September 15, 2012 peacefully at Crossroads House in Batavia. She was born November 12, 1945 in Lockport, to the late Raymond (Hazel Murphy) Baudendistel. Noreen was a registered nurse for 40 years graduating from Genesee Community College Nursing Program. She was employed by United Memorial Medical Center and retired as Nurse Manager of the Ambulatory Care Surgical Unit. She was a volunteer for the Salvation Army for many years and President of the Salvation Army Auxiliary, she loved to camp, hunt, draw and paint. She was also a member of the Master Gardeners and Sun Catchers Group, she enjoyed dancing; was the winner of a Jitterbug Dance Contest and she was a member of the Ladies Investment Group.

She is survived by her husband of 39 years Frank Knapp of Batavia, stepsons David Merritt and John Knapp both of Batavia, step daughters Patricia (Wayne Burgess) Knapp of Marcellus, NY and Barbara Knapp of Auburn, NY. A special dear friend Connie Ferris of Batavia survives along with 4 grandchildren...

Frances was born in Nottingham, England on March 6, 1914 a daughter of the late John and Rose Scarlett Attenborough. She worked as a seamstress in England. In 1975 she moved to the United States to be closer to her daughters. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, music, singing, gardening, and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Joseph Stevenson who died in 1967, 4 brothers and 3 sisters.

She is survived by 3 daughters: Pauline Grice of Batavia, Doreen (Robert) Hedley of Perth, Australia and Yvonne (Thomas) Swyers of Perry, 8 grandchildren: Stephen (Brenda) Grice, Joanne Beck, Veet (Karen) Hedley, Chris ( Jessy ) Hedley, Joey (June) Swyers, Elizabeth “Bibs” (Michael) Emerling, Jacob (Kim) Swyers and Daniel (Ashley) Swyers, 19 great grandchildren, a sister-in-law: Olive Attenborough of Nottingham, England, along with many nieces and nephews.

     Age 92, of Batavia, died peacefully Sunday afternoon September 16, 2012 at the Batavia Nursing Home surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 20, 1919 in Rochester, NY, a daughter of the late Anthony & Alice (Concetta Gugino) Mondo, she was also preceded in death by her granddaughter Michelle.

     Jo was an employee of GTE Sylavania in Batavia and the former RF Communications in Rochester where she lived most of her adult life untill moving to Batavia 17 years ago to be closer to her children. She lived at the Monsignor Kirby apartments where she enjoyed her friends, loved to play cards, read novels and spend time with her family.

     Surviving is her beloved daughter Patricia A. (Carl) Tomaszewski of Batavia, loving sons James (Josephine) Tubiolo of Oakfield and Phil (Patricia) Tubiolo of Nevada; sister Antoinette Burns of Batavia and brother John (Nancy) Mondo of Florida; grandchildren Michael S. (Valerie) Tomaszewski of Batavia, Melissa Nichols of Buffalo, Julie (Dr. John) Szawaluk of OH, James (Keri) Tubiolo of Buffalo, Nicole (Kieren) Hutchison and Brent Lloyd all of CA; great-grandchildren Madisyn & C. Max Tomaszewski, Sydni Nichols, Kate & Maddie Szawaluk, Dominic & Olivia Tubiolo and Quinn Hutchison; nieces Lori (Howard) Cohen and Anita Mondo; nephews Tom (Kelly) Burns, Drs.    Age 67, of Batavia, died Sunday morning September 16, 2012 at United Memorial Medical Center. She was born August 18, 1945 in Batavia, NY, a daughter of the late Everett J. & Dorothy E. (Smith) Miller, also preceded in death by her husband James R. Barberio Sr. in 2001, her daughter Sandy Wittkop, a brother Clifford Miller and granddaughter Jordyn Barberio and grandson Michael Boyce.

     Marie was a member of the Elba Methodist Church and worked for many years at Elba Central School. A wonderful mother and grandmother who was an avid bingo player, enjoyed arts and crafts, especially needlepoint.

     Surviving are her loving children James R. Barberio Jr. of Batavia, Chris (Joy) Barberio, Cheryl (Dan) Boyce, Connie Barberio all of Elba and Robin (Dan) Wissinger of Oakfield; brothers Richard (Linda) Miller and Ken (Nancy) Miller all of Oakfield; son-in-law Emmitt Wittkop of Batavia; 10 grandchildren along with many nieces, nephews & friends.

Henry Gorski, 88 of Batavia died September 16, 2012 at the New York State Veterans Home at Batavia. He was born April 8, 1924 in Buffalo to the late Valentine (Kunegunda Balcerak) Gorski. Mr. Gorski was a WWII Army Veteran and took part in both the Battle of the Bulge and Normandy. He was retired from Trojan Industries. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He is preceded in death by six brothers Julian, Stanley, Joseph, Raymond, Edward, and Alfred Gorski along with two sisters Cecelia Kendall and Viola Travinski.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years Gertrude C. (Sivret) Gorski; son Charles (Susan) Gorski; daughters Patricia Ann Zanghi all of Batavia; Cecelia (Tony Ortiz) Gorski of Lackawanna; 6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.

There will be no prior calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place 12:00 Noon on Wednesday September 19, 2012 at Resurrection Parish-St. Joseph’s Church 303 East Main St. Batavia, New York 14020. Interment will take place in Grand View Cemetery, Batavia.
