Mildred C. Stambach

Mildred C. Stambach, 97, of Batavia passed away on Sunday August 29, 2021 at the Seneca Health Care Center. She was born in Batavia on March 3, 1924 to the late Edward and Louise (Brundage) Allen. In addition to her parents, Mildred is predeceased by her husband; William Stambach who passed away in 1978; siblings Edward Allen, Freeling Allen, Gloria Allen, Florence Wood and Arlene Allen.

Mildred graduated from St. Joseph’s School, Batavia High School and Eastman School of Dental Hygiene. She worked for many years for Dr. Marchese in Batavia. Along with her husband, she owned and operated Summerdale Junction Restaurant and Motel in Harrisburg, PA, along with managing many other restaurants in NYC for years. Her family will be remembered as The Flying Allen’s, a hot air balloon company. She enjoyed traveling, having traveled to every state in the United States except Alaska and Hawaii. Mildred also was a part of the history of the early explorers and loved to volunteer at St. Joseph’s Church.

She is survived by her dear nieces; Karen (Christopher) Miller and Millie Pasch; many nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters in law and brothers in law, good friends and her Dunkin Donuts friends.

Funeral Services will be private. Mildred will be laid to rest in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Batavia.
