Gladys E. Worthington, 89 of Bergen, passed away on Monday, September 6, 2021. She was born January 14, 1932 in Alexander to the late Lewis and Cordelia (Goodman) Wight. She is predeceased by her husband Roy J. Worthington, four brothers, Elmer, Leon, Carlton and Wallace.

Mrs. Worthington worked for many years at Alexander Central School. She was a member of First Church of Christ Scientist in Williamsville and Sweet Adeline’s Group. Mrs. Worthington loved her flowers and spending time at the family cottage they had on the St. Lawrence River. Her family was the most important part of her life.

Mrs. Worthington is survived by her beloved children, Nancy Worthington of Ceresco, MI, Thomas (Miriam) Worthington of Jay, NY, Stefan (Marlene) Worthington of Alexander, siblings, Winifred Beats of FL, Loren (Bernice) Wight of Bergen, Marian Worthington of Batavia, Shirley (Gary) Goetz of FL, 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call on Saturday, September 11, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Marley Funeral Home, LLC, 135 Main Street, Attica, NY 14011. A Celebration of her Life will immediately follow at 1:00 PM at the Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Alexander.
