Duane Ivan Marble

Duane Ivan Marble, 82 of Attica, formerly of Nunda, NY went home to the Lord on September 19, 2021. Duane was born in Nunda, on October 23, 1938 to the late Bryan and Blanche (Brokaw) Marble. He is preceded in death by a son Duane A. Marble, brothers Darwin, Lyle and Lloyd Marble, sisters Thelma Chatley and Vivian VonKramer.

Duane, the second youngest of 8 children, he graduated from Pembroke High School in 1957. He joined the National Guard and was a SPC5 Tank Commander in part of a radar controlled mobile 3 gun artillery unit.

As the owner/operator of Dreamland Supplies he did maintenance and repair of mobile homes for 30 plus years. He retired and moved to a cottage in Nunda, right next door to the house he was born in. Duane remained there with his wife Patricia of 24 years before moving to Attica, to be closer to his family.

He was always tinkering with something and enjoyed collecting and processing scrap metal, fixing or re-purposing things and drinking coffee at local diners. Duane also enjoyed his 6 wheel ATV, camping, hunting and spending time with family.

Duane is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia A. (Myers) Marble of Attica, son Greg Marble of Darien, step-children, Calvin (Meri) Kelsey of Basom, Lynne (Jeffrey) George of Strykersville, Robert Kelsey of Batavia, Kerry (Michelle) Kelsey of Alexander, sister, Lila (Henry “Junior”) Robinson of East Bethany, Lester Marble of Albion, 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.

There will be no prior calling hours, services will be held privately.
