  Ann M. Zalenski, age 88, of East Bethany passed away peacefully on Sunday September 25, 2022 at the Leroy Village Green Rehabilitation unit. She was born on June 22, 1934 in Alden to the late Raymond and Helena (Hamann) Armstrong. In addition to her parents, Ann is predeceased by her loving husband of 31 years; Joseph Zalenski Jr. and 11 of her siblings.

Ann’s selflessness and love for her family has influenced many generations. All who knew her were extremely fortunate to have had Ann in their lives. She was always supportive and helpful, and always welcomed visits and coffee chats with her friends and family. Ann never forgot a birthday or anniversary! Along with being talented when it came to crafts and sewing, she was best known for her amazing baking abilities. Her cookies, breads and pies were always holiday favorites. She loved playing cards, cheering on the Buffalo Bills and going on casino trips with her sister, daughter and niece.

Ann is survived by her devoted daughter; Joann (Edward) Grice; her sister Lorraine Riley; along with many nieces, nephews, and countless great nieces and nephews and cousins.

There will be no prior calling hours and a private Graveside Service will be held at St. Joseph’s Mausoleum in Batavia. An 11:00am luncheon will follow the service on Tuesday September 27th at the Polish Falcons on S. Swan St. in Batavia,
