Donald A. Dundon, 79 of Batavia, NY, died September 19, 2010 at United Memorial Medical Center. Born February 14, 1931 in Buffalo, New York son of the late Walter (Jeanette Leney) Dundon. Mr. Dundon was retired from the Niagara Mohawk where he worked for 39 years. He served eight years in the Army National Guard, was a member of Terry Hills Golf Course. He was an avid bowler. Mr. Dundon is preceded in death by his wife Joyce (Aubert) Dundon on November 10, 2002 & a son, Robert Dundon, Sr. in 2003.
 
 He is survived by his sons Kevin Dundon of Lancaster, Donald Dundon of Alden, William Dundon of Texas, a daughter Lynette Dundon of Georgia and a step son Rick Flowers of Bethany, NY. One sister Joyce Brown of Cheektowaga and a brother Raymond Dundon of Maryland survive along with 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. 
 
There will be no prior calling hours. Friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Thursday, September 23rd at 1:00 p.m. at Gilmartin Funeral Home & Cremation Company, Inc., 329-333 West Main St., Batavia. Interment will take place in Grand View Cemetery.

Richard J. Dimick, 76 of Stafford, NY died September 17, 2010 at Strong Memorial Hospital, NY. Born June 17, 1934 in Batavia, NY, son of the late Clayton (Evelyn Stokes) Dimick. Mr. Dimick was retired from Upstate Milk in Batavia. He was a member of the Stafford Methodist Church and a Veteran. He is preceded in death by a brother Rodney Dimick and sister Mary Papp-Fuller. 
 
Mr. Dimick is survived by his wife of 55 years Diane A. (Barber) Dimick of Stafford; son Paul R. Dimick of Rochester; daughters Deborah L. Dimick of Scottsville; Michelle A. (Matthew) Haire of Derry, PA; brothers Clayton D. (Lois) Dimick of LeRoy; William D. (Shirley) Dimick of LeRoy; sister-in-law Sylvia Dimick of LeRoy; 6 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, along with many nieces and nephews. 
 
There will be no prior calling hours. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM on Sunday September 19, 2010 at the Stafford Methodist Church, Main Rd. Stafford, NY 14143. Interment in Stafford Rural Cemetery.

dawson.jpgJacquelyn B. Dawson, 65, of Batavia, NY, died September 14, 2010 in Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. Born December 6, 1944 in Key West Florida. Daughter of the late Joseph (Doris Voorhees) Benty. Mrs. Dawson was retired from the Genesee County Courthouse where she worked as a legal secretary.  She was a member of Resurrection Parish (St. Mary’s), the Red Hat Society and the Christian Women’s Club. 

She is survived by her Fiancé James Galvin of Batavia, son Michael W. Dawson of Batavia, daughter Michelle L. (Mark) Mistretta of Rochester. Brother David (Sharon) Benty of Oakfield, sisters Patricia Lowder of Oakfield and Tina (Gregg) Wolff of Batavia, 2 granchildren Terrell Bloom and David Mistretta, one great grandson Jonah Elsenheimer who survive along with several nieces and nephews.

Batavia - Mr. Roy MacConnell, 93, of Batavia, died Sunday, (September 12, 2010)at the Genesee County Nursing Home.
Mr. MacConnell was born March 1, 1917, in Bergen, a son of the late Fred and Mildred (Fuller) MacConnell.
He was a utility engineer at Eastman Kodak Company for 34 years. After his retirement from Kodak, he worked at Byron-Bergen Central School for 13 years. A lifetime farmer in the Bergen area, Mr. MacConnell most recently volunteered at the New York State Veteran’s Home in Batavia.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Shirley (Carpenter) MacConnell of Batavia; a son, Greg MacConnell of Plattsburgh; grandchildren, Blaise MacConnell of New Hampshire, Dustin MacConnell of New Hampshire, Patrick and his wife Cathlene MacConnell of Charleston, South Carolina and Sarah and her husband Owen Fussey of Plattsburgh; two great-grandchildren, Aislynn and Avery MacConnell; a daughter-in-law, Sandy (Redick) MacConnell of New Hampshire and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. MacConnell is predeceased by his son, Brad MacConnell and brothers and sisters. 
There are no prior calling hours and services will be private. Burial will be in Byron Cemetery.   Memorials may be made to the North Bergen Presbyterian Church, 7068 North Bergen Road, Bergen, N.Y. 14416. Gordon T. Conover, 65 of LeRoy, NY. Died September 13, 2010 peacefully at his home. Born March 31, 1945 in Canandaigua, NY, son of the late Gordon (Mary Callahan) Conover. Mr. Conover worked at D&L Trucking in Eden, NY. Preceded in death by his brother Robert Conover. 
 
Survivors include sons John C. Conover of Canandaigua; Jeffrey S. Conover of CA; daughter Kim (Alan) Whitbeck of Canandaigua; sisters Florence Howes of Batavia; Linda Cookinham of Webster; grandson Joshua Conover; along with several nieces and nephews. 
 
There will be no prior calling hours. Funeral Services will be private. Interment in Boughton Hill Cemetery in Victor, NY.

Batavia - Mrs. Edna A. Miller, 77, of Batavia, retired school teacher at Oakfield-Alabama Central School in Oakfield, died Friday, September 10, 2010at United Memorial Medical Center.

Mrs. Miller was born December 28, 1932 in Danville, Illinois, the daughter of the late Charles William and Florence Gruber Miller, granddaughter of the late Edna Miller and sister of the late William (Ann) Miller.
 
A 1972 graduate of Geneseo State College, she was a member of the New York State Retired Teacher's Association, New York State United Teachers Association, the National Education Association and a former member of Delta Kappa Gamma.
 
She began her teaching career at St. Joseph's School where she taught for three years and retired from Oakfield-Alabama Central School in 1992 after 20 years. She also worked at Genesee Community College where she taught Secondary Summer School, CETA Program, SAT preparation courses, an ABE Instructor and served as an English tutor.
 
A member of St. Joseph's Church, she was a CCD instructor, a counter for the church and a member of the Sodality. She volunteered her time at RAP, the March of Dimes, Meals on Wheels, PAVE - Ministry of Concern, Crossroads House and as a Literacy Volunteer.
 
Survivors include two loving sons, Alfred Panepinto and Russell (Renee') Panepinto, both of Batavia; adoring grandchildren, Michael Panepinto, Rachel Panepinto and Josie Panepinto, all of Batavia and several  nieces and nephews.

There are no prior calling hours. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, September 18th at   10 a.m. at Resurrection Parish - St. Joseph's Church, 301 East Main Street, Batavia. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Lois Falker, 75 of Corfu, NY died September 11, 2010 at United Memorial Medical Center. Born November 2, 1934 in Pembroke, NY, daughter of the late John (Caroline Schwartz) Finkney. She is preceded in death by a daughter Katherine Step-Falker, brothers Kenneth, Billy, Gerald Finkney and sister Pamela Heineman.
 
 She is survived by her husband Loren Falker of Corfu, and son Ken Falker of Corfu. Brother Ronald (Betty) Finkney of Corfu, sisters Linda (Vince) Heineman of Oakfield, Diane (Marvin) Rosenberg of Pembroke; Carol (Brian) O’Brien of Williamsville and brother-in-law Gerard Heineman of Corfu. 4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren survive along with several nieces and nephews.

PASTECKI, ELIZABETH0001.jpgIt is with great sadness that the family of Elizabeth Eleanor Pastecki announce her death on Saturday, September 11, 2010 at Genseee County Nursing Home on the first floor Memory Unit.

A long time Batavia resident, she was born in Buffalo, 98 years ago on November 2, 1911, a daughter of the late Lewis and Agnes Wozniak Sikorski.  Her husband, Anthony Adam Pastecki died on August 30, 1982.

Mrs. pastecki reitred from Melton Shirt Factory and was a member of Sacred Heart Church, the Altar and Rosary Society and the Polsih Falconettes.  She enjoyed playing bingo and cards and loved crocheting afghans.

Surviving are her children, Maryann Fasano of Batavia and her children, Michael Fasano III and Maria and Darryle Streeter.  David and Marilyn Pastecki of Batavia and their children, Robert and Anya Pastecki and Douglas Pastecki.  Peter and Kathleen Pastecki of Rochester and their children, Stephen and Bobbie Pastecki and Megan and Pablo Molina.  Her great grandchildren, Julia and Benjamin Streeter, Ryan Pastecki, Nicholas Pastecki and Cesar and Alex Molina.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 - 8 PM at the J. LEONARD McANDREW FUNERAL HOME, 2 BOGUE AVE., BATAVIA.  Prayers will be Wednesday at 8:45 AM at the J. Leonard McAndrew Funeral Home  followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM at Ascension Parish (Sacred Heart Church).  Entombment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.

The Altar and Rosary Society will recite the Rosary at 3:45 PM at the Funeral Home on Tuesday.

bon2.jpgBonnie M. Paolucci, 56 of Depew, NY died September 9, 2010 at Hospice Buffalo, Inc. in Cheektowaga, NY. Born May 1, 1954 in Bradford, PA daughter of the late George (Joyce Norton) Sequerth. Bonnie was employed by YRC, Inc. in Buffalo. Preceded in death by a brother Daniel Sequerth. 
 
Bonnie is survived by her husband Americo “Rick” Paolucci of Depew, son Anthony Paolucci of Depew, daughters Michelle (Randy) Allen of Lancaster and Nicole Paolucci of Brockport. Brothers George (Anne) Sequerth III of Olean, Timothy (Anne Marie) Sequerth of Elba, sisters Barb Currier and Lisa Sequerth both of Batavia.  Two grandchildren Katelyn and Kimberly Allen of Lancaster, her father and mother in law Umberto and Frances Paolucci of Florida survive along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

dworzack.jpg   Age 56, of Grand Island formerly of Batavia, NY died peacefully Thursday Sept. 9, 2010 at Kenmore Mercy Hospital after a brave two year battle with breast cancer. She was born March 9, 1954 in New Orleans, LA daughter of Jack A. Randorf of Alden and the late Doris (Snowden) Randorf in 2004. Carol was employed at the UB North Campus in the University Bookstore and previously worked for K-Mart in Batavia & Buffalo and also for JoAnn Fabrics prior to her illness. A member of the Corvettes of Buffalo with her husband she enjoyed car rides and going to dinner. Carol loved to garden, feed birds, knit, garage sales and craft shows. She had an exceptional love for family especially her grandchildren. An avid reader Carol and her family had a yearly book reading competition that she won last year.

   Surviving along with her father is her beloved husband Steven Dworzack of Grand Island; loving children Kristy A. (Jonathan) Snyder of Hampton, VA; Kelly M. Stone of Batavia & David  A. Dworzack of Grand Island. Brothers Jeff (Patty) Randorf of East Aurora; John (Jamie) Randorf of Schenectady; grandchildren Kayla A. & Benjamin T. Stone both of Batavia; her mother-in-law Marian Dworzack of Batavia and sister-in-law Sheila Craver of LeRoy along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

   The family will be present from 4-8 PM Monday Sept. 13, 2010 at the Michael S. Tomaszewski Funeral & Cremation Chapel, LLC 4120 west Main Street Road Batavia, New York 14020 where a Celebration of Life Service will begin at 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers memorials in her memory are suggested to the family or to Kenmore Mercy Hospital.
