Alabama - Kenneth W. Fuller, 96 of Alabama passed away on Sunday, (January 31, 2021) at the Villages of Orleans Health and Rehabilitation Center in Albion.

Mr. Fuller was born December 23, 1924 in Shelby, a son of the late Raymond and Melvina Fuller.

He was a past member of the Alabama Fire Department and worked for many years with Seamans' Hardware in East Pembroke.

Kenneth is the husband of the late Marion Fuller; and brother of the late Helen (late Kermit) Weber, Avis (late Kirby) Brown, and Leora (late Ralph) Scroger.

He is survived by his son, Roger (Audrey) Fuller of Rochester; grandsons, Jeffrey (Betsy) Fuller and Brian (Meg) Fuller; great-grandchildren, Ashley, Heather, Jacob, and Chase; great-great-granddaughter, Kleo Fuller; step-brother, Gordon (Sherry) Fuller of California. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, (February 5, 2021) from 4:00 pm  to 6:00 pm  at Burdett & Sanford Funeral Home, 11 Maple Avenue in Oakfield.  Kenneth's funeral service will be held privately for the family.  Burial will be in the spring in Alabama Cemetery. Carlyle Bump, 73, of Corfu, passed away on Monday, February 1, 2021 at his home.

Carlyle was born March 1, 1947 in Albion, a son of the late Alton and Norma (Wheaton) Bump.

A veteran, Carlyle served with the United States Army.  He loved horseshoes and golfing and was a gas well tender for USG Gasfields in Oakfield.  

Surviving are his wife, Linda L. Bump of Corfu; children, Timothy K. Bump of Batavia, Jodi L. Williams of LeRoy and Kimberly S. (Michael, Sr.) Dorobiala of Denton, TX; sisters, Charlotte (Roger) Salmone of Warsaw and Emily (David) Gill of Dansville; six grandsons and several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by brothers, Edward Bump, Charles Bump and Bob Wheaton and a sister, Flora Ewell.

There will be no prior calling hours or funeral service.

Myron Albert Seward, 92, of Basom, NY passed away peacefully at Premier Genesee Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Batavia, NY on January 31, 2021. He was born April 22, 1928 to the late Wellington and Edith Seward in Bergen, NY.

Myron was proud to be a lifelong farmer. As a young man he worked at the family’s dairy and crop farm as well as their milk hauling business in Bergen. In 1951 he married the love of his life, Ethelyn Sumeriski. They moved to their own farm in Basom, NY where they lived, farmed and raised a family together for the next 55 years. Myron was predeceased by Ethelyn in 2006. 

Myron loved farming and his family. He loved people, and enjoyed reminiscing about farm life,   times gone by and the way things used to be done! He could, and would, talk with anyone he met, always regaling them with a farming or milk hauling story. His family and friends will be able to retell some of his favorite stories for years to come! Myron was a kind and gentle man who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Myron is survived by his children; daughter Brenda Seward of Basom, son George Seward and his wife Cricket Johnson- Seward of Basom, grandsons- Elias (Catherine) Seward of Oakfield and Noah (Niki) Seward of Attica, greatgrandchildren- Tyler, Sydney, Cade and Paxton. Myron was predeceased by his younger brothers, Norman and Gordon. Also surviving are his brother Elton (Jean), and sister-in-laws Marion and Delores, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Hopefully all of Myron’s extended family and friends will join us to remember and share stories of Myron’s remarkable life at that time!

  William M. Barrett Jr. age 76 of Pavilion, NY passed away on Sunday January 31, 2021 at his home surrounded by loved ones. He was born in Batavia, NY on June 20, 1944, a son to the late William M. and Althea (Brydges) Barrett.  Along with his parents he is preceded in death by brothers: Richard and Roger Barrett.

William was a graduate of Pavilion High School.  Bill worked for the former Eaton Yale and Towne in Batavia, NY as a cost accountant, was a bus driver for Pavilion High School and later became a Correctional Officer at Groveland Correctional until the age of 62.  He was a member of the Alexander United Methodist Church where he sang in the church choir and a member of the International Camping Club. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, playing softball, camping, hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife: Judy A. (Satter) Barrett whom he married on August 31, 1963, daughter: Debbie (Kevin) Slough of Grand Island, NY, son: Duane Barrett of Pavilion, NY,1 grandson: Ian Brunskill along with several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may call from 11:00am-12:00pm on Friday, February 5, 2021 at the Alexander United Methodist Church 10540 Main St. in Alexander, NY 14005. Funeral Services will follow at 12:00pm. Bill will be laid to rest in Grandview Cemetery in Batavia, NY.

Caledonia ~ Passed away on Saturday, Jan. 30, 2021 at age 84.  He was born Feb. 2, 1936 in Caledonia, a son of the late Andrew and Blanche Leathersich Keenan.

    

John will be remembered as a very loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and dear friend, who was dedicated to his family and his community.  He was a proud US Army veteran, ran his own electrical contracting business, along with many other jobs and served on many town, village and church boards.

     He will be sadly missed by his children; Joan (Charles) Robinson, Michael Keenan (Terri Lambert) and Daniel (Barbara) Keenan; grandchildren, Chad Robinson, Kailee (Travis) Salamone, Kasey (Seth) Mitchum, Kevin (Janey) Keenan and Emma Keenan; great-grandchildren, Aizlyn, Jozlyn, Zaydalynn, Madelynn, Kayleigh and Abbygale; siblings, Robert Keenan of FL, Mary Sickles, Marilyn (C. Richard) Fisher and Melville (Martha) Keenan, along with many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

     He was predeceased by his wife of 56 years, Patricia Callan Keenan and his siblings, Margaret Steiner, James Keenan, Marion Wood, William Keenan and Marjorie Gray.

     Due to COVID restrictions, a private funeral mass will be held at St. Columba Church on Saturday, Feb. 6., however friends are invited to join the family at St. Columba Cemetery at 11:00 AM for committal prayers and military honors.  A Celebration of John’s Life will immediately follow at Jones Hall.

Attica ~ Alan R. Hoyt, age 68, of Sokol Drive, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 27, 2021.

     He was born June 25, 1952 in Batavia, a son of the late Ward and Dorothy Grant Hoyt.

     Alan was a graduate of LeRoy High School, a member of the First Presbyterian Church of LeRoy and a former member of the First Baptist Church in LeRoy.  Alan will be remembered for his love of collecting political memorabilia.

     He is survived by his brother, Donald I. Hoyt of Seneca Falls, N.Y., along with many cousins and friends.

     Services and interment in Machpelah Cemetery, LeRoy, N.Y. will be at the convenience of the family.

Adam Douglas Monroe was born to Douglas F. and Patricia Berryman Monroe in Batavia.

He attended Alexander Central School and didn't graduate because of health issues.

Adam was a happy, cheerful soul that always had a smile on his face. He was a charter member of the reorganized Glenn S. Loomis American Legion Post No. 332 and an organizing charter member of the Niagara Frontier Charter The Society of the Second War with Great Britain in the State of New York-The General Society of the War of 1812.

He is survived by his siblings; Gary F. Monroe of White Plains, Anne K.M. Allen of Hillsborough, North Carolina, Elijah B.A. Monroe of Attica who is a school bus driver for C+F Transportation and Andrew G. Monroe of Adolphus, Kentucky; three aunts; Jean S. Monroe, JoAnn Monroe and Mrs. Larry Casper all of Batavia and many cousins and nephews.

He is predeceased by his brother, Douglas W. Monroe of Houston, Texas.

Terry R. Kilian, 68 of Lima, passed away at home after a short illness. Terry was born October 3, 1952 in Batavia. He is preceded in death by his father Ralph Kilian and niece Randall "Randi" Miller.

Terry loved music, jigsaw puzzles and people, everyone was his friend. Growing up he had chores and worked on the family farm. He was not however a fan of picking up rocks or chickens.

He is lovingly remembered by his mother Arlene M. Kilian, sister Cindy Fish, brother Jeff Kilian, sister Nancy (Doug) Miller, along with many nieces and nephews.

Dale G. Bremiller, 77 of Corfu, passed away Saturday, January 30, 2021 at his home.

Dale was born on September 20, 1943, in Buffalo, a son of the late Gerald and Evelyn Boll Bremiller. He was the brother of the late Wayne Bremiller.

Dale grew up in Lancaster and served with the United States Army in Vietnam. A longtime resident of Corfu, he worked at Agway and served as the Town of Pembroke Code and Zoning Enforcement Officer until he retired.

Dale was a Lionel train collector, a love he shared with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He loved his 1964 Ford Galaxy 500 and going to car shows. He was a member of the WNY Gas & Steam Engine Association since the early 1970’s and held the office of President for several years. He shared his joy and collection of hit & miss engines with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

Dale was the loving husband to Judith (Ehrenreich), father to Bryan (Rebbecca), Arick and Rebecca Sue (Kevin). Grandfather to Emeraldgene, Sterling, Coral, Austin and Nicholas and great grandfather to Dina, Trevor and Evan.

Friends may call Friday, February 5, 2021, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the C. B. Beach & Son Mortuary, Inc., 4 East Main Street, Corfu. Burial will be in the Western New York National Cemetery, Corfu, NY at a future date.

Dale was greatly loved and will be sorely missed.

Mary Elizabeth Delbridge Shuknecht, 94, of Elba, passed peacefully at home on Sunday, (January 31, 2021). She was born on August 22, 1926 in Batavia to the late Raymond and Mae Delbridge. She is predeceased by her husband, Neil Shuknecht, whom she married on April 29, 1950 in an intimate ceremony. Mary was a devoted farm wife during their many years together.

Mary graduated from Batavia High School and then attended a two-year business program at Miami University in Ohio. She worked in the banking business for most of her career at Anchor Bank in Batavia, where she always had a smile and a friendly hello for her customers. In her free time, she supported her children who were actively involved in the local 4-H program.

Mary was a lifelong avid reader and would frequently tell the story of the time she was running and reading as a child, when she tripped over a toy and broke her arm. She could be seen frequently looking for the latest books to read at Richmond Memorial Library into her early 90s. She was also an active member of St. James Church of Batavia and enjoyed their Friday Fish fry dinners. Mary always put others first and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mary’s lifelong motto at dessert: “I’ll have a little of each!” She loved life and her sweet treats!

Mary was the loving mother of Gerald (Valerie) Shuknecht of Keeseville, NY, Cynthia Chisholm of Las Vegas, Donald (Cindy) Shuknecht of Elba, and Cathy (Chip) Wynn of Hummelstown, PA.  She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jered (Katie) Shuknecht, Sarah (Barry) Christ, Shane (Anastacia) Shuknecht, Amanda (Rich) Drowne, Courtney (Erik) Jenks, Mary Jean Shuknecht and Ashley (Eric) Rossello. Mary was also blessed with ten great-grandchildren.

Mary was predeceased by her son-in-law, Christopher Chisholm; her brother, Wade; sisters, Donna Coward and Eleanor Gaiser; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held in the spring at a later date.

Julia Marie Falleti passed away at the age of 74 on January 30, 2021 in Batavia.  Mrs. Falleti was born on May 19, 1946, in Albion, the daughter of the late Stephen and Mary Tokotch.

For the last 3 years, Julia had bravely fought ovarian cancer. She will be remembered as a strong and selfless Wife, Mother, Grandmother and overall spirit.

Julia worked for the Batavia City School District as a Secretary for 30 years. She enjoyed guiding students in becoming college ready and was always ready to shine a positive light on their futures. She remained active after retirement by cooking, baking, knitting and crocheting. Julia also gave back to the community through various organizations.

Julia is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Domenico Falleti. She was the mother of Maria Falleti of Naples, Florida and Antonino (Michelle) Falleti of Batavia; Grandmother of Maximus Falleti ; sisters, Betty Falleti, Frances Pellegrino, Helen Warner; brother, Bruce Tokotch; along with many nieces and nephews.

A Private Memorial Mass to celebrate her life will be held at the convenience of the family. She will be entombed in St. Joseph’s Mausoleum. Harry Louis Kalish was born May 2, 1951 in Queens, NY, to Walter Kalish and Catherine Cuthill. He died at age 69 in Florida on Jan. 18, 2021.

He was formerly a longtime Batavia resident.

Harry has three brothers. Harry leaves behind three adult children and three grandchildren: Sara Hall (37), Harry's youngest daughter, her fiance, Jeremy Brown, and Sara’s children, the twins Cody and Brylie Hall (13), and Autumn Hall (11). Harry's son, Jacob Kalish (41) and Harry's oldest daughter, Katherine Kalish (42).

Harry was retired, but worked as a cook for more than 35 years, and spent his last 10 years as a truck driver delivering tires around Central Florida. He enjoyed his work and always put his best integrity forward. When Harry fought and gained his three children in 1995, he would work two jobs at a time to provide a new home and life for them. 

Harry loved the Jets and football. He loved the Mets in baseball. Harry could be found watching sports 90 percent of his last days and loved watching and talking about each game and highlights with Jeremy Brown. Harry was a huge fan of rock 'n' roll and would always have his radio up overloud as he worked out. He loved to dance with his grandkids and joke around with silliness. 

Harry was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer in early 2019. He was a fighter and never wanted to give up. His body became too weak and he left this world holding his daughter Sara’s hand and his love of his life at one time, Sandra Brooks. His grandchildren and family were gathered as he took his last breath with his favorite rock 'n' roll music seeing him out. 

Harry always cared so much for his daughter Sara and her children and would always help out in any way he was able to. Harry was a great man and will be truly missed.

ZoElla L. Spink, 84, of Batavia, passed away on Friday, January 29, 2021 at United Memorial Medical Center.

ZoElla was born August 13, 1936 in Batavia, a daughter of the late Raymond and Mabel (Calkins) Worthington.

ZoElla was a life member of Northgate Free Methodist Church, where she was a very active member.  She loved to bake and spend time with her family.   

Surviving are her sons, Ronald (Deborah) Spink of Batavia, Timothy (Belinda) Spink of Batavia, Jamie (Kathy) Spink of Batavia and Christopher (Joan) Hoppey-Spink of Amherst; a brother, E. James (Charlene) Worthington of Elba; 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her husband, Ronald W. Spink; brothers, Raymond Worthington, Roy Worthington, Spencer Worthington and Donald Worthington; sisters, Winifred Cook and Viola Wight.

ZoElla's Memorial Service will be held at a later date at Nothgate Free Methodist Church.

  Steven Donald Clattenburg, 60, of Batavia passed away peacefully in his home on Sunday January 24, 2021. He was born on March 22, 1960 to the late Donald and Audrey Clattenburg.

Steven was known well in the community for his commitment to coaching youth baseball. He embraced everyday as a blessing with his on and off battle with cancer. He enjoyed spending time and making memories with friends and family. Steven was also an avid Muckdogs and Bills fan. He will be deeply missed but heaven has gained an angel.  

He is survived by his children; Nicole (Patrick Mutter) Clattenburg of Batavia, Steven (Jo Croll) Clattenburg Jr. of Illinois, Samantha Clattenburg of Kansas; siblings Brenda (Larry) Powers of Rochester, Jeffrey Clattenburg of Texas and Joanne (Jeff) Coyle of Brockport; along with grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

  Michael W. Porter, 65, of Churchville, passed away on January 26, 2021 at Unity Hospital, Rochester. He was born on July 24, 1955 in Batavia, to the late Carlton J. “Jack” Porter, Jr. and Dorothy (Klimajeski) Porter. He is predeceased by his brother, Stephen J. Porter and niece Dorothea Johnson.

Mike was a life-long farmer and owner of Porter Farms in Elba. He was an avid hockey fan, player, coach and supporter. His son Stephen now plays the game he loved so dearly. Mike was a loving husband and father.  

Mike is survived by his beloved wife Debbie (Beauregard) Porter, son Stephen A. Porter, siblings, Mary Elizabeth “Bess” (Eric) Johnson, Julie Porter, Beatrice Porter, Emily (Scott) Swarner, sisters-in-law, Kathleen Porter, Susan (Tim) Turner, JoAnne (Bill) Rogers, Nancy (Donald) Verni, Lisa (Todd) Heydt, nieces, Katherine (Peter) Metzler, Sarah (Josef Bartels) Porter, Zoe Johnson, Natalie Swarner, Gina & Olivia Verni, Tonya Erdle, nephews, Mark & Ben Heydt, great-nieces, Cora, Suzanna, Georgia Metzler, cousin Peter Zegler.
