Joshua David Lang of Le Roy, received the M.F.A. in dance on October 1, and was recognized during Hollins University's 182nd commencement ceremony on May 19.

Ellie Dambra of Le Roy graduated Cum Laude with a degree(s) in Public Administration - BS from James Madison University during commencement exercises in May 2024.

Dambra was among more than 4,482 students who received undergraduate and graduate degrees.

Students have been named to the Dean's List for the Spring 2024 semester at Clarkson University. Dean's List students must achieve a minimum 3.25 grade-point average and also carry at least 14 credit hours.

Lucy R. Coniber of Corfu, a senior majoring in civil engineering, was named a Presidential Scholar for the Spring 2024 semester at Clarkson University.

Presidential Scholars must achieve a minimum 3.80 grade-point average and carry at least 14 credit hours.

 

More than 100 Rochester Institute of Technology students, including Taylor Schofield of Pavilion, were named as Outstanding Undergraduate Scholars for the 2023-2024 academic year. Schofield is in the biomedical engineering program.

Since 1976, RIT has honored the top 1% of undergraduate students who achieve academic excellence while also giving back to the community through civic or volunteer work, by conducting research, or being engaged in a co-op or work in their field of study.

Award recipients were honored during a celebration on March 21.

Allie Schwerthoffer of Batavia, was one of 45 SUNY Cortland transfer students inducted into Tau Sigma National Honor Society on Monday, April 1.

Tau Sigma, including its SUNY Cortland Pi chapter, is an academic honor society designed to recognize and promote the academic excellence and involvement of transfer students.

To qualify, students must have transferred to SUNY Cortland from another academic institution with at least one full year's academic credits satisfied and must have a minimum grade point average of 3.5 after earning 12 or more credits at Cortland.

More than 90 students, families, faculty, and staff attended the ceremony in the Corey Union Function Room, hosted by the Advisement and Transition Office. President Erik J. Bitterbaum provided a welcome and Ryan Vooris, chair of the sport management department and transfer student himself, presented the keynote address.

This year was the 20th year for the Pi chapter at SUNY Cortland, which has inducted over 1,000 students since 2004.
