Care-A-Van Ministries is partnering with FoodLink of Rochester and the Batavia Youth Center to host a mobile foodpantry. The exact food items available are not known, but fresh produce will be available. The Mobile Food Pantry is available to Genesee County residents only. There is no income verification required, but you must be 18 years old to pick up food from the pantry. Please provide your own bags/cart/vehicle to transport itemsto your home. This is an outdoor event. 

The Batavia Youth Bureau/Youth Center is pleased to announce this year’s Winter Recess schedule. To accommodate both parents and youth our regular program hours have been adjusted to the following. For the week of Dec. 23 – Jan. 3 the center will be opened from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.  Special activities as well as a snack will be offered each day. The schedule is as follows:

Monday, Dec. 23rd – Trivia Game Show

Tuesday, Dec. 24th – Closed!

Wednesday, Dec. 25^th – Closed!

Thursday, Dec. 26^th – Movie Day – Breakfast foods for snack today!

Friday, Dec. 27^th – Tournament Triathlon

Monday, Dec. 30^th – The Minecraft Games

The staff and volunteers at the Batavia Youth Center served a traditional Thanksgiving dinner Tuesday night to about two dozen youngsters who are participants in youth center programs. Most of the meal, turkey and fixings, was prepared by Gail Stevens.
