Nash Car Club of America, that is. Some 100 cars circa 1918 to 1957 are expected to roll into Batavia on July 18 and stay through the week, with a car show on July 22 at Quality Inn and Suites, 8250 Park Road, Batavia.

On August 6th & 7th, head to Alexander for the 2-day event that specializes in antique vehicles and farm equipment presented by Empire State Antique Truck Association! Spend the weekend at the tractor pulls, slow truck race, and enjoy searching for hidden gems at the flea market.

The Batavia VA Medical Center hosted a "Cruising for Veterans" car show and healthcare enrollment event on Saturday (Sept. 14).

About 25 cars were displayed. Veterans from the three Community Living Centers on the campus were taken down from their lodge residences to view the cars.

Below, the 1963 silver Corvette is a rare car. Only about 6,000 of this type were made.  

VA Western New York Healthcare System’s Batavia site will host a car show and veterans enrollment event from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 14..

Veterans will have the opportunity to enroll in the VA health care system and have access to information to apply for other Veteran benefits.

To streamline applications and determine eligibility, veterans are highly encouraged to bring their DD-214 discharge papers and tax return from 2018.

The "Cruising for Veterans" car show will be staged behind Building 5 of the Jack Wisby Jr. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Building.

Merchandise and food will be available for sale starting at 10 a.m. through the Batavia Medical Center’s Veteran Canteen Service located on the ground floor of Building 1.

In the event of rain, the car show’s makeup date is the following day, Sunday, Sept. 15. The public is encouraged to attend.

The Batavia VA Medical Center is located at 222 Richmond Ave. in the City of Batavia.

As part of Oakfield's annual "Labor Daze," Crazy Cheap Cars hosted a classic car show on Saturday.

In addition to the great turn out of vehicles for the Car Cruise (more than 80 cars), there were vendors, non-profit groups, face-painting for the kids, pony rides, pumpkin patch carriage rides and a chicken barbecue by Krolick's.

On Father’s Day June 19^thMercy Flight will be hosting an Open House at our Batavia Base located at the Genesee County Airport from 9:00 until 2:00. Many local emergency service agencies, such as the Sheriff’s Department (child ID’s), NY State Police (rollover simulator), Lake Plains Community Health Care and Genesee County Emergency Management will be joining us. It will be a great day to bring dad out for pancakes at the Rotary Club Fly in Breakfast and then stop over and visit with Mercy Flight and local emergency responders.

In addition to the open house Mercy Flight in partnership with The Batavia Downs will be hosting the 1^stannual Cars and Guitars for Mercy Flight event on July 9^th. This all day event will feature a car and motorcycle show in the infield along with four great bands, The Buffalo Roadshow, the Trolls, The coupe de Villes and Savage Cabbage.  Great food will be available and all attendees (over 18) will receive $5 casino free play. Car show pre-registration is available online at www.mercyflight.org

To wrap up the summer Mercy Flight and The Batavia Downs will again be hosting the Hackers for Helicopters Golf outing.  This will be the 3^rdyear for the event which will include Golfing at the Batavia Country Club and dinner at the Batavia Downs.

The Bergen Business & Civic Association (BBCA) invites you to “Go Country” on Saturday June 12, 2010 at the 21^st annual Bergen Park Festival and Parade.  We encourage everyone to dust off your cowboy boots, put on your hat and enjoy some family fun at this years festival. 

Events begin at 11am with the Classic Car Show, at noon is the kick-off parade beginning at the Bergen Fire Hall, and the day concludes with a fireworks show after dark.  The festival includes multiple craft vendors, pony rides, kid’s activities, food vendors, a trick car show, and music all day in the park.

If you are feeling lucky try you’re had at our giant life sized BLINKO Board at the main tent or Bossy Bingo sponsored by the Bergen Grange. 

The live entertainment will include the Fiddlers of the Genesee, sponsored by the Byron-Bergen Public Library and GO ART at 12:45 pm and Ghost Riders rock/country band between 6-10pm.  Following the music will be a magnificent fireworks display, so don’t forget to bring your lawn chair and come join the fun at the Bergen Park Festival!
