My name is Cameron Coles, and I just thought I'd post a blog about what happened to me today. I am in a Studio Arts class at Pembroke Jr/Sr High School (I am a sophmore) and I was told that the stop motion animation video -which I put a large amount of effort into making- was almost disqualified from the Digital Media Arts Festival because they said it was "disturbing". The reason they gave for this was that the screen goes red during parts of it and they interpreted it as blood. I think that the judges at the Digital Media Arts Festival are a little over-sevsitive about things when they look at videos for the Festival. My reason for thinking that is they actually did disquaulify another video for "questionable material" which turned out to be bareley questionable at all. I think this needs to be looked into.
