Whether they be red, orange, yellow or a combination thereof, maples are among my autumn favorites.

Here's a colorful and placid stretch of Celery Brook.

Was it yesterdays rain which brought out the first of our rose of Sharon blooms this morning - or the heat from the previous five days?DSCF3659.JPG

Mid to late summer bloomers, rose of Sharon provide color after many flowers have long since faded.
