He saw the eye surgeon today and was told he won't be able to return to work until April 1. Until then, he can't read -- not e-mails, or books, or anything on the computer.

That's a week longer than we expected, but we'll get through this.

It will be possible because of the loyalty of our readers, the dedication and hard work of staff, especially our marketing coordinator Lisa Ace, and sales rep Lucie Griffis, Wyoming County Free Press Community Editor Julia Ferrini, and the aid of terrific freelancers like Jim Burns and Steve Ognibene.
