It had two stone pillars on each side of the walkway to enter the project. I believe the pillars are still in place. The project was formed for veterans and their families to live in at the end of World War II. I know many former and present Batavians lived at the project during the the late 40's and early 50's. The Batavia Clippers played at MacArthur stadium and my grandfather, Charlie Pixley was the groundskeeper at the stadium. Anyone have memories, stories or photos?
