Batavia's citywide yard sale returns for second year this weekend

Stacey Ziminski is continuing on with the Batavia citywide yard sale that started last year with the help of the now-defunct community booster group Vibrant Batavia.

Vibrant Batavia supplied Ziminski with a map of around 80 yard sale participants and some advertising.

Ziminski plans to run the yard sale as an annual event that will take place the last Saturday and Sunday of June starting at 9 a.m. and ending at 5 p.m. each day.

"I'm scrabbling around to throw it together...I'm looking to get as much help as I can...," Ziminski said.

She doesn't have a dedicated website for the yard sale yet, but she does have a Facebook page, which boasts more than 800 likes; she plans to use it to list addresses of all the yard sales in Batavia this weekend.

To register your yard sale in the Batavia citywide yard sale, go to their Facebook page and submit your address and yard sale.

The weather should be nice and hot.

New event in Corfu: the debut of Yard Sale Daze and Vendor Fair!

Planned in the Village of Corfu Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 22 and 23 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The flier says they are "calling all musicians, animals, yard sales, crafters, clowns, artists, retailers, fundraisers, service providers, cooks, car washes and bakers" to participant.

The community event is free to join. Set-up for nonresidents or outside the village is in the parking lots, such as the American Market parking lot (the old IGA). You are welcome -- "Just find a spot."

"The Village Board and I are hosting the event," said organizer "Debbie," "to draw people into the community."

In-door Yard Sale "First of the Season"

The YWCA of Genesee County is holding it's
"First of the Season" in-door yard sale.
This event will be held at their
301 North Street facility in Batavia
on Friday, February 19th from 9AM to 6PM, and
Saturday, February 20th from 9AM to noon.

There will be something for everyone.
The volunteers enjoy setting up,
the shoppers find great bargains,
and the people who donate items
free up space in their homes
while passing along their unneeded items.

Donations of items for the sale will be
accepted during the week of February 15th.
All donations can be dropped off at
the YW's 301 North Street facility.
Some donation suggestions include:
kitchen and household items, books, toys, and clothing.

400 Towers Yard Sale

Donations are being accepted for the 400 Towers Residents' Council Yard Sale to be held June 5, 6 & 7 at the Towers' front lawn. All are welcome. Refreshments will be available.

Please contact Batavia Housing Authority at 400 Towers, 344-1888 or Pat Larson at 993-2851 if you have items to donate.

The public is invited to the Yard Sale beginning at 9am each day. Funds raised will benefit the 400 Towers Annual Picnic.

Hey Batavian if there is anyone here from Rochester or near by I have a site something like this forum here and NO not trying to steal members or anything just helping out a friend that runs that site he help with mine so I thought I would return the favor.
