Fred Glor was right waist gunner on a bombing mission over Greece in a B-17 “Flying Fortress” when their plane went down  

This is Installment 1 of the Oakfield Historical Society’s 2020 program series. Free and open to the public

At Oakfield Community Center: Greg Kinal lectures on Lincoln's assassination, free https://www.thebatavian.com/events/at-oakfield-community-center-greg-kinal-lectures-on-lincolns-assassination-free/545096 Oakfield Historical Society is proud to present the October installment of our 2019 lecture series.

Speaker Greg Kinal will provide the background to the plot to kill Lincoln as well as all the characters who played a part in that terrible night. Kinal, who will celebrate 50 years as a Pembroke teacher next year, gives about 75 speeches a year and 40 presentations for historical societies.

This event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served at the program's conclusion, and 50/50 raffle winner will be drawn.
