Ellie Dambra of Le Roy named to James Madison University Dean's List

Le Roy resident, Ellie Dambra, has been named to the Dean's List at James Madison University for the fall 2022 semester. Students who earn dean's list honors must carry at least 12 graded credit hours and earn a GPA of between 3.5 and 3.899. Dambra is majoring in Public Administration - BS.

SUNY Cortland announces its Fall 2022 Dean's List

More than 2,500 students earned recognition for academic excellence on SUNY Cortland Dean's List for the Fall 2022 semester. The Dean's List is the highest ranking for undergraduate students in their respective academic areas of the university. Ana Mateos named to SUNY Oneonta's Fall 2022 Dean's List

Ana Mateos, of Byron, was one of more than 1250 SUNY Oneonta students who earned Dean's List honors for the fall 2022 semester. Mateos is studying Environmental Sustainability.

To qualify for the Dean's List, a student must earn a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher while carrying a course load of 12 hours or more.

Pavilion's Matthew Sheffield named to SNHU President's List

Matthew Sheffield of Pavilion has been named to Southern New Hampshire University's Fall 2022 President's List. The fall terms run from September to December.

Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.700 and above for the reporting term are named to the President's List. Full-time status is achieved by earning 12 credits over each 16-week term or paired 8-week terms grouped in fall, winter/spring, and summer.

Batavia's Jeffery Washington named to SNHU Dean's List

East Bethany student named to 2022 PennWest Dean's List

Congratulations to Charles Urbanczyk of East Bethany on being named to Pennsylvania Western University Dean's List for the 2022 fall semester.

Over 3,500 Pennsylvania Western University students earned placement on the Dean's List. Degree-seeking undergraduate students who achieve high academic standards are identified in accordance with the following criteria:

The student must earn a minimum semester GPA of 3.40.

The student must earn a minimum of 12 graded credits during the semester, not including credits by proficiency examinations, incomplete grades, temporary grades (e.g., Not Reported), or satisfactory/unsatisfactory grades.

Urbanczyk studied at PennWest's Edinboro Campus this semester.

SUNY Potsdam Names Area Students to Dean's List

The State University of New York at Potsdam recently named 210 students who excelled academically in the Fall 2022 semester to the College's Dean's List.

To achieve the honor of being on the Dean's List, each student must have satisfactorily completed 12 numerically-graded semester hours, with a grade point average of between 3.25 and 3.49 in the given semester.

Local SUNY Potsdam Students Named to President's List

The State University of New York at Potsdam recently named 809 students to the President's List, in recognition of their academic excellence in the Fall 2022 semester. The SUNY Potsdam students were honored for earning top marks by Officer-in-Charge Dr. Philip T. Neisser '79.

To achieve the honor of being on the President's List, each student must have satisfactorily completed 12 numerically-graded semester hours, with a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.

Elijah Stringham Named to Fall 2022 Dean's List at Stonehill College

Three local students make SUNY Canton's President's List

Dawn Hunter Earns Academic Honors as a Part-Time SUNY Canton Student

Dawn Hunter, a SUNY Canton Legal Studies major from Batavia earned Part-Time Honors during the fall 2022 semester.

"Our part-time students often juggle family and work obligations while excelling at their studies," SUNY Canton President Zvi Szafran said. "This is not an easy task. We applaud your commitment to your education."

The college created this recognition for students who earned at least a 3.25 GPA in 6 to 11 credit hours of coursework. Le Roy resident Ethan Riggs receives Dean's Award at Colgate

Riggs is a Biochemistry major from Le Roy, and is a graduate of Le Roy Central School.

Symposium showcases research by Batavia medical student

On November 18, New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine's (NYITCOM) Fall 2022 Student Research Symposium showcased scientific findings by Batavia medical student Margaret Cecere.

The event, which took place at New York Institute of Technology's Long Island campus (Old Westbury, N.Y.), featured more than 50 student research abstracts. Cecere's abstract was titled, "Use Of Ultrasound As A Supplemental Tool In Cadaver Based Anatomy Teaching."
