C'mon, slow down, don't pass on the right, wait for oncoming traffic, look both ways at least twice...etc..etc. This intersection is wide open for visibility in all directions. Accidents can only happen there because of bad driver judgement.

I hope everyone is alright. Lets get through the holidays without an accident such as the one that happened near that intersection last year (Collin Crane).

Roundabouts went out of style way back when & now they are back & twice as dangerous because people STOP at the yield signs & the guy behind them rearends the jerks that stop.. Where ever they place one of them stupid things I always find a different way to go to get where I have to be.. Like people stopping at a green light & then wonder why the guy behind them flips them the bird!! Stop, Look,& Listen like you were taught when you strted to drive.. It is Better than any old stupid round about/traffic circle any day of the week..
I'll bet that most drivers when they come up to a stop sign when they are going west & going to cross a north/south highway usually LOOK to their right first, & the car to the left piles into them because that lane is ALWAYS closest to your vehicle.. I always look to my left when I come up to a stop sign or even when I am coming up to a street that has a stop sign for the other people & not me.. IT is called "defensive driving" & it saves lives unless you are really stupid, blonde, or a drunk driver & then you do not belong ON the highway at all.. lol

There are three primary reasons that traffic circles/roundabouts went out of style: they monopolize or otherwise render real estate less suitable for commercial development, they were replaced by electronic traffic control systems that USED to be inexpensive to maintain; they reduce the speed at which all arteries enter and exit the intersection which in the case of mingling two and four-lane highways isn't always desirable.

The reason ANY intersection becomes dangerous (line-of-sight issues not withstanding) boils down to drivers who are either confused, inattentive or otherwise negligent.
