Greg, none of that information is transmitted over police and fire frequencies.

If the Sheriff's Office investigated the accident, they will most likely put out an accident report, which we'll will post about once received.

If the State Police investigated, no report will be released and we'll have no further information.

If the Sheriff's Office doesn't release the report, we'll have no further information.

If the Sheriff's Office puts out a report, it may not contain all the details you request.

Question: When have you EVER seen us provide those details on an initial accident post such as this?

One other note: Actually, yes, names of drivers, or possible drivers, are sometimes transmitted between dispatch and responders, but we never report names that come over the air because next-of-kin have not been notified -- even in a minor injury accident, we don't publish names until officially released by law enforcement.

You're right, names do occasionally get transmitted over the scanner. Kinda like the day I left my house to go to Batavia, and 10 minutes later my mom hears my name over the scanner...being pulled over for loud exhaust! Oops!
