Truck crashes into Batavia Police Station on West Main Street, driver trapped

A truck reportedly struck the Batavia Police Station at 10 W. Main St. and a person is trapped inside the vehicle. City fire and Mercy medics are responding.

UPDATE 3:04 p.m.: The driver is speaking with a police officer.

UPDATE: The male driver was not seriously injured. He was transported to a hospital outside of Genesee County.

Just looking at the damage to the vehicle, I'm thinking between 30 and 40 mph at moment of impact. What I can't figure out is how anyone could have gotten that kind of speed up in an area that constrained with that truck.

I hope that the accident report will be part of the update to this story. And, I suspect, There Will Be A Story to accompany this story.

so what is the rest of the story..why did who ever ...ram the police dept..Also no way this truck was going 40 mph...Did they arrest this person..
