Le Roy PD looking for vandals who damaged cars in village

The Le Roy Police Department is asking for assistance in identifying the person or persons responsible for damaging at least four different vehicles which were parked in or near the roadway last evening in different parts of the Village. The Le Roy Police have identified four vehicles which were scratched or “keyed” for no apparent reason last evening between possibly 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. Anyone having information pertaining to these crimes is asked to contact the Le Roy Police Dispatcher at 345-6350.

It has been my experience that this is a crime of envy. Some twisted minds hate that you have a nice, new car and will deface it to give them a sense of satisfaction. I have had this occur to me in the past.

Or it could be a couple of teenagers with nothing better to do and they did this for no other than reason than to not be bored at the moment.

Having seen one of the cars that was damaged, in my neighborhood, I doubt it was out of envy. It was parked close to the road, and an easy target, but no offense to the owner, it really isn't a car someone would be envious of. It was how ever was thoroughly keyed. I hope they catch them, pretty lame of them to just trash people cars for no reason.
