Woman with bright pink butterfly tattoo suspected of robbing Five Star Bank branch in Batavia
The person in the surveillance photos to the right is wanted for questioning in connection with a robbery of a bank in Batavia today.
Batavia PD believes the woman is the suspect who robbed the Five Star branch at 567 E. Main St. at 2:11 p.m.
The perpetrator presented a note that claimed she had a gun and demanded money and left on foot with an undetermined amount of cash. She did not display a gun.
She is described as a female, mid-20s, 5'7" to 5'8" and slim build.
Tellers said the woman had a large, bright pink butterfly tattoo on the left side of her neck.
Tips and information can be provided to Batavia PD at (585) 345-6350 or the confidential tip line at (585) 345-6370.
The images here are fairly clear and provide a decent view, but they're definitely not close-ups and the resolution is mediocre. If I were responsible for security at a chain of banks, besides the video camera system, I would also position high-resolution digital still cameras at each teller station in a configuration that automatically snaps and retains multi-megapixel close-ups of each customer.
If the pink butterfly tattoo is truly a permanent tattoo on the lady's neck, it seems that she is likely be identified provided she's known within the media coverage radius.
I agree about the cameras at banks, why does my phone take better pictures with higher resolution than banks? hell my phone from the 90's took better pictures.
I think she misunderstood the news coverage of the Governor's PROPOSED free college for inmates and wanted to be first in line for classes.
Got to agree with that..It is a way to get Coumo's free college education..Plus free room and board..i remember when prison was a form of punishment..
She kind of looks like the girl that was just picked up on the drug dealing charge. From the distant photo anyways.
