Dorothy A. Maley, 84, of Batavia passed away Tuesday January 5, 2016 at United Memorial Medical Center. She was born February 22, 1931 in Batavia, New York to the late Rudolph (Marian Buckley) Bosseler. She is preceded in death by brother Raymond Bosseler; and brother-in-law Edward Maley.

Dorothy graduated from Batavia High School in 1949 and was a lifetime member of St. Mary’s Church. She was a homemaker, and worked part time at C.L. Carr Company. Dorothy also volunteered at the V.A. Hospital.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years Gerald Maley of Batavia; children Barbara (Penn) Pixley of Lancaster, OH., Douglas (Sharon) and William Maley both of Rochester, , Janice Maley of Rochester; sister Ruth Blossom of Batavia; sisters-in-law Regina Perkowski of Batavia, Donna (James) West of Port Huron MI; 6 grandchildren Brian (Meghan), Jennifer (Anthony), Juliana, Alexandria (Fiancé Josh), Victoria, Daniel; great-granddaughter Caroline; great-grandson Luke along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family and friends are invited to call on Friday January 8, 2016 from 4:00 PM- 8:00 PM at Gilmartin Funeral Home & Cremation Company, Inc. 329-333 West Main Street Batavia, New York 14020. Prayers will be recited 9:00 AM on Saturday January 9, 2016 at the Funeral Home followed by a 9:30 AM Mass of Christian Burial at Resurrection Parish (St. Mary’s) 18 Ellicott Street Batavia, New York 14020. She will be laid to rest in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Batavia.
