Marilyn J. Koch, 77, of Batavia passed away peacefully on Monday January 23, 2017 at the United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia. She was born on January 1, 1940 in Cook County, KY to the late James and Myrle (Boothe) Hoover. In addition to her parents, Marilyn is predeceased by her husband Emmett W. Koch; daughter Pamela Eckert; siblings Roger and Pearl.

She loved her kids more than anything in the world, always putting them first. Marilyn was a strong willed woman who will be cherished by her family.

Marilyn is survived by her sons; Michael Fitzgerald, Kenneth Koch, and Daniel (Danielle) Koch, step son Hal Koch and daughter in law Susan Koch; brother Larry; sister Sharon and sister in law Grace; grandchildren Danielle (Christopher) Dwyer, Heather Krebs, Daniel Koch, Briana and Brittany Fitzgerald; great grandchildren Emma Dwyer, Carter Krebs, Cameron and Zoe Bradley along with many nieces and nephews and her faithful dog Susie aka Wiggles.

Friends are invited to call on Friday January 27, 2017 from 5:00-7:00PM at Gilmartin Funeral Home & Cremation Company, Inc. 329-333 West Main Street Batavia, New York 14020 where a 7:00PM Celebration of Life will immediately follow at the Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest with her daughter Pam in Grandview Cemetery in Batavia.
