Richard D. “Tubby” Weber

Richard D. “Tubby” Weber, 55 of Batavia, passed away Saturday, January 21, 2017 peacefully at his home. He was born April 29, 1961 in Batavia, to the late Duane (Beverly Bump) Weber. He is preceded in death by a son Nicholas R. Weber, siblings Patricia Sanders, John Weber, Michael Weber, Kenny Alwart and a brother-in-law Carl “Jiggs” Shetler.

Mr. Weber worked in construction and roofing for most of his life. He was attending services at St. James Episcopal Church in Batavia. Tubby beat cancer twice, he was always smiling and he loved his family dearly.  

He is survived by his daughters Ryan (Keith) Weber Besaw of Batavia; Nicole (Chris) Dunham of Attica; siblings Toni Weber of Batavia; Elaine Shetler of Alabama, NY; Duane Weber of Bowling Green, KY; Raymond Smart of Pembroke; grandchildren Jacob, Memphis, Samson; along with many nieces and nephews.  

Friends are invited to call on Saturday January 28, 2017 from 11AM to 1PM at Gilmartin Funeral Home & Cremation Company, Inc. 329-333 West Main St. Batavia, New York 14020. A 1:00 PM Celebration of Life will immediately follow at the Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest in Cary Cemetery, Oakfield.
